Hi I'm from Israel. Usually I don't write comments but now I feel like I just have to do it. I was watching this video, and suddenly, just ten minutes ago, a missile alarm started. My family and me had to run with pijamas to the shelter, and while we were waiting the alarm to stop (and we heared all the booms), I looked at my little siblings and I thought about how they are used to that situation. That's the message of this song: our Israeli children have became way older than they should be because of this war, including the children from the South and the North, those who were kidnapped and those whose loved ones are still in captivity in Gaza. No child should go though such experiences Eden Golan, you're our pride.
I see it more a universal song. Each person can find himself in life struggles that give him perspective beyonde his years. Eden in an interview said that she returned from Eurovision not the same and her mother told her that she feels she grown up in ten years .
I look at my students singing their hearts out in a shelter during real missiles attack, they are stronger and more resilient - I wish they had a normal childhood. in the video you see the kids cooped up in a building, no gardens or dreams for us in the past year. thank you Eden for speaking up for for a whole generation shaped by these violent moments.❤
In an interview for the Israeli Media, she said that the song represents certain lifetime experiences she had to deal with and made her grow up much before the appropriate time.
Thank you Eden for making the voices of the children in Israel heard, who at this moment really need to grow up, for a whole year the north and south of Israel are being shelled, little children are suffering, our childhood is full of contradictions, pain and joy, the song conveyed the messages accurately. Thank you Eden
