  • Neomarxism is a modern form of Oneism in its rejection of God the Creator and its inability to offer any hope of eternal life. This new form of Marxism sees social revolution not simply as the overthrow of economic justice for the impoverished worker, as the old Marxism did, but the overthrow of the whole of Western Christian culture, for the moral and sexual liberation of all human beings and the establishment, in its place, of a Marxist system of thinking and acting, which denies God and Christian morals.

This is great analysis. It represents the weaving together of a nihilistic politics that sits atop the pagan philosophy of Hegel, in the first instance, Jungian spiritualism, and evolution. Yet many in the church think they can unravel this rope and in a naive delusion twist another with misunderstood marxism (materialist/pagan), misunderstood evolution (pulling God into a naturalist monism where he disappears as the 'other'), and Christ: the one who created and therefore the only one who can redeem. And we know, if one adds to Christ, Christ leaves.

Aufheben der Christianity as Hegel would have said.
I would love to see Peter Jones sit down and have a discussion with James Lindsay.
My only critique of this whole presentation is the idea that Marxist claim to have "everything figured out." There may be some of that mentality in the literature, but for the most part what I gather is an idea that all they have is critique. They don't know where they are going, but if they critique the current system enough they think they will bring about the solution although they cannot articulated because they believe the current systematic constraints preclude us from being able to imagine the real "utopia".
