      We've often thought the same thing Kyo. It could be something to be frustrated about, but at the end of the day, we're just happy with the people who find us on here ❤️

    Brilliant. I know you will have loads of work to come
    Another thing. It's really refreshing to see people wearing proper vapour masks when using resins. I don't think people realise the affects on the nervous system in the long term. Well done and best of luck for what looks like a new future 👍

    Noobie question but is the "gel resin" different than the fiberglass resin? very inspiring and great work as always!

    • @AdenHynesSculptureStudios
      @AdenHynesSculptureStudios  2 года назад +2

      Hey Abstex. Absolutely no problem. So the gel coat is a considerably thicker resin. It creates a thicker gel layer, which, when backed up with glass fibre and regular resin, creates a smoother surface than the mat alone would result in. The resin that you use with the glass fibre mat is less viscous and more runny.

      Is fiberglass a kidsproof material?

    Isn't the releasing wax an issue when you want to paint the final product?

    • @AdenHynesSculptureStudios
      @AdenHynesSculptureStudios  3 года назад +1

      The whole piece is sanded down after casting anyways, so the wax is removed

      @@AdenHynesSculptureStudios Thanks for answering. I hate sanding. I was hoping you found another solution.

    Have you ever thought of fabricating reptile enclosures? The pvc ones are ok but if they were formed from polystyrene then covered inside and out with glass fibre, it would be more cost effective to maintain heat and humidity. That is a constant problem for us keepers. Collecting reptiles has increased even with Covid-19 lock downs. Another plus is you can make custom enclosures based on wants and needs.
