Great video Steve, really enjoyed the Goulburn GNSS arrival brief. Was hoping to see the arc being flown by the G700 on the full Richmond ILS procedure! great vid, very proficient.
Thanks! The RIC arc was flown in GPS mode (I didn’t have DME). The only thing that surprised me was that it seemed to fly over RIC before intercepting the outbound track (ie fly-over instead of fly-by) so it overshot then intercepted the outbound. I also didn’t wait for the automatic switch over to LOC and manually switched using CDI. Otherwise all perfect.
It’s easy in FF. On map view you select a waypoint and “select altitude/speed/time”. The runway can be selected from the same menu or I normally select runway from the flights page “departure” -> “takeoff”
Great question. The answer is the aircraft I purchased - the DA62.. however I do really like the Baron. I think the DA62 is just such a nicely engineered and modern machine! I’m very happy with it. And it helps it burns half the fuel of the baron!
@@diamondairtaxis great insight, I can see you have real world experience flying both planes to provide an unbiased opinion. Congrats on starting the new business. I wish you every success, I love the concept of what you are bringing to the Australian Aviation market, it's a great idea!
Love this content mate! Unfortunately found it a couple weeks too late. I recently completed my MEIR in a B55 out of Camden - this would of been super helpful!! Still love to watch it though, keep it up! Are you in aiming for a job in aviation or mainly private?
Love this channel because of you flying my favorite High Performance Twin the G58 Baron
The G58 is an amazing aircraft. Keeps you on your toes!
Love these vids! Doing my MEIR now
Glad you enjoyed them. Note that I am not an instructor so please check before following anything!

Brilliant video, thanks, Steve!

Flying between layers is really cool
Agree. Very scenic!
Good stuff Steve. How did you put the delays (with hourglass) and runways (11C) in the foreflight flight plan? Thanks

Great Vids Steve - I gotta ask, which plane do you like better; the DA62 or the Baron G58?

That’s great! MEIR is a big achievement! I’m planning to start some charter work soon…
