I'm loving the Note Air4 C (got it as a gift from my bf, because I wouldn't shut up about the amazing features I've seen). Such a nice feeling to have an all-in-one kind of e-ink reader. I have been waiting for the Scribe update but was disappointed at the outcome. Note Air4C got released at a very opportune time. I just initially wanted a color tablet where I can annotate books/PDF and use my apps and doesn't weigh a ton in my bag. It ticked all the boxes for me: from a Samsung tab experience, the S-pen was a nice writing experience and the less-weighty pen was my favorite (Boox's pen having a similar feel is an advantage). Best of all, you don't have to buy the pen separately (unlike the Apple Pencil). Whilst the iPad Pro screen reading and color experience was superior for me, it tends to be too bright for my reading -even in the dimmest setting. I do enjoy reading on color e-ink readers. But with my Kobo colour, I really yearn for the ability that I can annotate on books but on a larger screen size and multitask (take notes while reading a book), plus their browser is sh*t. The Air 4C which also displays my favorite comics typically without too much margins -better than Kobo. And I needed my apps (GDrive, Kindle, Kobo books, daily news app, browser, etc.) and an easy to add my templates (PDFs, images) - so having that is a huge plus. Boox's Note taking apps need some improvement of course (using it daily with copy-paste usually made it a bit jittery), but the fact that I can already write properly on the notes and color them and it doesn't weight like a giant brick and the battery lasts for days (in one charge, 3+ days now without wifi) and low light enabled, I am settled. Added to collection! :)
I got mine last Monday and I love it. Yesterday I had to sign some documents so I decided to use this instead of printing them out and rescanning. I put the PDF into the background as a template on the notes app it and worked nicely. I am sure I did it the hard way too.
I got my first boox device last week. First time using any sort of ink device beside a kindle. I must say I truly enjoy using it. I do not like the poor battery life though. People have pointed out how "android 13" was a battery drainer OS.
I broke my ultra tab c screen and I will send to customer service in order to repair it. In the meantime I got this note air 4C and I love it! Think I will sell the ultra tab once repaired
I really want to try one of these, but I hear their support is poor and they they are prone to breaking rather easily. What's your take on the sturdiness of the boox note 4c?
I watched this all the way through and perhaps I missed it, but I don't believe you talked about how to improve the kindle app on the 4c. Did anyone catch it?
On the Kindle hardware in the guided view of comics the background was white, while in the Boox using the Kindle app it was black. Is that something that can be choosen by the user? From the video black looked like a better choice for the background...
Hello, I have a question for you. Why does handwriting and writing in apps like noteshelf, goodnote, oneNote not work on the boox Tab ultra c. There is always a delay when writing. Is this a setting thing? What can I do? Is there an app for boox where this works without any delay when writing? I would like to be able to access and edit a document from all three devices, cell phone, Samsung tablet and boox tablet. It is a calendar/planner that is supposed to synchronize via a cloud. Sorry for my bad English ;) thx
I bought the BOOX Tab Ultra Tablet PC 2 years ago and it is still in pristine condition. Would it be a good idea to upgrade to the BOOX Tablet Note Air 4 C? Which one of the two is better?
@@MarlonBakboord you'll need to manually copy the ebooks across, or upload them to the cloud and re-download them. If you put the same files in the same location though all the annotations etc will sync. But the notebooks will all just sync down to the device provided you log into the same account.
Man, my example is very laggy. I have reset twice after the firmware update. Example of laggy include moving text boxes, access recordings (tapping box), adding a page, open a simple note. Not snappy - or like Kitts’. For reference I have RM2, RMPP and AI Paper. The RM2 is the snappiest.
Super weird question from a lefty: anyone know if it's possible to use the Air4C in portrait mode with the bezel on the right (essentially upside-down)?
Buongiorno Kit. Grazie per la bellissima recensione. Puoi dirmi qualcosa di più sulla possibile uscita del Boox Tab Ultra C pro "2"? Good morning Kit. Thank you for your wonderful video. Can you told me someting more about the roumors of the release of new Boox Tab ultra c pro "2"? Thank you! (forgive me for my bad english).
Hiya, kind thanks, I haven't heard any specifics, but it would make sense for them to update it with the new screen. I think they'd be wise to wait for Spring though!
Thanks for this, super interesting. As you rightly said, it all depends on use case. I am still hesitating between the air4C and the super max coming up. I am missing writing on “paper” and my main use is one note + office 365.
Right now, this, the screen just looks a little better, and the only thing you'll miss will be the keyboard case and you can always get a small portable keyboard as I demonstrate in the video. 🙂
hello, have you tried to use some pro note-taking apps like goodnotes? It's the main reason I still use my ipad, but i would like to know if it works well on these e-ink tablets

So I hear nobody buys this device because the battery is so bad. Does it drain rapidly ?

“On paper its the better device” 😂

Hey Kitt,
I want to annotate on pdfs with looking at the battery. Should i go with the tab ultra c pro or 4c? Or another?

Thank you. I’m convinced now to buy this one.
I really want to try one of these, but I hear their support is poor and they they are prone to breaking rather easily. What's your take on the sturdiness of the boox note 4c?
Exactly! The worst Customer Support.
I never had a need for customer support, on any Boox device a have owned, (owned five boox e ink tablets) and never had any break.

Yep you can. There's a variety of ways to do it!

What about battery life in 4C comparing to 3C? (I didn't watch the whole video yet so I might have missed it)
Which would be crisper reading ebook text? NA3 B/W (227ppi) vs NA4C (300ppi)

Kindle colorsoft comic guided mode… only white bars on the sides? No black bars as option? (bright at night)
