Nikkie, could we have a video on makeup brushes? The best ones to use for for each step when doing eye makeup and the best techniques to use with the brushes? I love when you tell us what brushes you're using and what you're doing with them but it would be great if we could have an in depth tutorial. x

Hey Nikkie. I don't know if you ever want to do something like this but I would really love to see a "make-up around the world" kinda like series, where you'd maybe try out different make-up styles that are popular in different parts of the world. For example korean enspired, etc.
Like it would be so interesting to see the little differences that come from different cultures on the same face.

Came here from twitter due to her recent tweet. We are really sitting here getting upset over her using the word "cheap" to describe makeup she bought??? If I bought a $3.99 mascara, I sure as hell am saying it was cheap. There are seriously bigger things in life to get upset over. The word "Cheap" isnt one of them.
I don't think anyone was upset, I think people found it disturbing that someone they watch who is very clearly well off would call something they can afford cheap. I think they had a right to feel that way. I think she could've worded it better. And obviously people voicing their views was reciprocated because she changed the title. That's all that matters. She cared enough to do that even if it is just a word.
I'm from Holland (the Netherlands), just like Nikkie and here we use the word 'cheap' to describe it's affordable. They are synoniems. There is a slight difference but in daily use it's more or less the same. It's just a minor mistake she've made.

We don’t really have different makeup here. We use mostly international brands and the dutch brands aren’t really different of other makeup

I used to be obsessed with buying expensive or brand name makeup, but I learned that as long as you know how to apply makeup correctly and make it look good prices or brands don’t matter. Now I stick with morphe palettes and brushes. My foundation, concealer, contour, and blush I buy at Walmart.

I'm not easily offended like other people, but I want to explain how it's not the same in the USA. A $25 eyeshadow pallete I would refer to as affordable, but it's definitely not cheap. Cheap is relative to your lifestyle and income, and because the USA is such a big country, what's cheap to one person is another person's food money for the week. By calling it cheap, they may feel you are devaluing their life because to them it's not cheap. But people are just sensitive and think way too much into everything lol.
Bc people gotta be offended and bitch about everything.
Also, in the US, "cheap" is often taken to imply poor quality, rather than affordable.

I'm a dude, and not into makeup, but I'm also gay lol, and I'm an artist, and I somehow wound up on this channel and watched a few of these vids, and just from an artist's perspective, it's pretty impressive. I had no idea this much went into creating a face, but I totally relate to the process and I recognize a fellow artist when I see one. She's amazing.
Maybe a good video idea would be to let subscribers pick their favorite drugstore items for you to try out? I’d recommend the Pixi highlighters, Catrice prime and fine smoothing refiner (pore filling putty), physicians formula eye booster eyeliner in ultra black, and the new L’Oréal full coverage concealer. :)
They don't sell pixi or physicians formula in the netherlands. Getting it from another country would kind of go against the idea of a cheap drugstore look [imo]
I would recommend the new Loreal foundation. Chrome highlighter from Maybelline.

You’d probably love Milani conceal and perfect foundation! My favorite affordable sponge is Japonesque’s sponge, the one that’s black and red swirled. For concealer you’d probably like the maybelline age rewind concealer.

Her first language is Dutch not English. So is mine, and in Dutch cheap translates the same as affordable. In Dutch it doesn't have that harshness. So I think that's why she might have called it cheap. I dunno tho 🤷♀️

Buuut unfortunately their super shock formula sucks lol. Dunno if it's just me but I couldn't get them to work
Spangldee fingers and/or old school spongetip applicators that used to come in eyeshadow palettes for everything but the mattes. with the mattes I mean you can use fingers but Colourpops blending brush works really good with them only certain blending brushes work good with those. They got a learning curve so I can understand ppl not liking them.
Spangldee I always use my finger and it works for me. Also synthetic brushes are the way to go for them too.
I love the look as per usual... and I also loved the eyeshadow palette.

Really happy you're doing affordable products. About once every 2 years I buy high end (but Ofra, Jeffree Star and Kevin Aucoin is already high end in my eyes), but otherwise I'm a Drugstore Diva.
In case you're going to do this another time... Other affordable brands that have decent primers - and you can buy in The Netherlands (drugstore or websites like Boozyshop): Maybelline, L'oreal, Makeup Revolution, LA Girl, Essence, MUA, The Ordinary, Milani. Revolution has several to choose from actually.
That Catrice brow pencil is my favourite! Mainly because the colour cool brown is perfect for me. But I love the thin creamy point.
The MUA highlighter and the PF bronzer are still on my wishlist. I just bought several MUA products today at the drugstore (liquid highlighter and oil primer f.e).
I'm really a fan of most drugstore products, so nothing surprised me😊. Nowadays a lot of these brands are easily as good as the high end ones. The packaging can be less sturdy or not as fancy, but to me it is how I'll look - and if my sensitive skin won't break out- that's important.

That Rimmel Eyebrow is the one that I use all the time I love it because it’s got a nice thin brush I have hardly any bras and it really stays on great. Live the makeup
