It’s NOT canon at all in the show itself. Greg and Marcia never had a crush on each other. They were brother and sister. Technically step brother and step sister, but by about the second season the distinction between real sibling and step sibling was essentially gone (and of course from the beginning the girls took their new father’s name). Barry and Maureen, however, did have crushes on each other, flirted often, and had a brief teenage fling. That energy seemed to come through in their scenes here and there.
