sorry, rube, but this song and all the brady albums and songs failed to appear on any chart. your statement contradicts the notes from this video on YT, so i went and looked up the subject. multiple sources say the this song, like every brady song and album, did not chart.
"I can't just stay inside all day, I've gotta get out, get me some of those rays" That's the trouble with too many kids these days - they don't get out and get those rays 🤨 When I was a kid we got those rays - sometimes too much! 😅
I was born in 1972, this song was my first solo in 3rd grade music class. When life gets tough. I pull this song up- it ALWAYS makes me feel better. Love you all, always have, always will. Love and light to you and your families and, thank you.
Me either! Back to the days where no guns, violence, drugs & murders were never shown on T.V. My favorite shows were "The Munsters, The Brady Bunch, I Love Lucy..my Top 3! ❤
As somebody who is old enough to remember seeing this when it originally aired on Friday night on ABC back in the early 1970s, it did my middle aged heart good to read your comment!
This may seem lame today. I was born right after this. It just makes you feel good. Inocent Fun! It's Absolutely Hard to Believe That This is From 50 Years ago!!!
This sure brings back memories and feelings from half a century ago. What happened? Where did all that time go? I was young then. I'm old now. But this makes me hope miniskirts and go go boots come back into fashion one of these days. They are so cute.
Correct, Mike Lookinland. Who went on to be a major Dead Head. He has claimed to have attended like over 700 Dead Shows.could be more. I loved this show as a kid and passed it on to my kid. And I myself have seen over 100 GD and post Dead shows over the last 40 years.
I love the Brady Bunch. Every time it's on i got to watch it. If nothing is on all stream it and watch. 2009, I, was working at a liquor store, when Christopher Knight and his wife walked in. Christopher was so polite and was down to earth. He gave me a autograph and took a picture. 🤗🤗
The thing I love about this is it looks like the kids really came up with the choreography on their own. They don’t look too polished. I did always think it was weird they bow and the song is still playing when they start talking to the host🤣
Yes lol, great observation on the unpolished performance though.. Some would say time constraints and money played a part in this. But there's nothing more effective to give it a sense of reality than minimal rehearsal and practice.. You watch a TV show now and its so finally polished, they spend 6-8 hours a day for 4 or 5 days just to end up with 30 minutes of screen time, production costs are huge. And the end result is some kids show where lines are delivered perfectly and nobody makes a mistake.. They seem like emotionless robots and the editing makes it even worse with quick cuts, no slow panning to show the viewer how the actor might look across a room, just right up close, deliver line, smile and cut straight to the next scene. The industry today has forgotten this. They'll take an old classic movie made on a budget that raked in 1000 times its budget, redo it at huge cost and it'll barely cover its cost
IKR, but of course it's lip singing. It seems like the audition choreography may have been intentionally unpolished. Element of surprise for the live performance, maybe? Great memories though!
I got this on my playlist on my phone. I remember recording this and the other songs from episodes with a tape recorder next to the TV when the episodes were aired including when Davey Jones was a guest star. LOL.

Back in the early 70s, I use to watch The Brady Kids animation show on Saturday mornings on ABC. I listen to every song from the animated program. The cast is tight knitted family. I have always kept them in my prayers whenever they have their ups and downs. May God continue on blessing their health; mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. I miss Ann B. Davis aka Alice. I sense she had a pleasant spirit about her and I was always drawn to her character from the Brady bunch in a positive way.
The Brady Bunch played a major part in my personality that led into adulthood. This song in specific has always been my default theme in life! 🌞🌻🌞🌻🌞🌻🌞❤️❤️❤️
The Bradys lived in a universe where the only music heard on the radio was by the Archies. However, at 0:53 a quantum storm erupts and they are briefly transported to the universe with the Rolling Stones and Janis Joplin. In this brief moment, Bobby is the coolest thing that ever happened to the Bradys. Bobby wins the cool contest hands down over Greg.

Yes exactly
My favorite too! Bobby don’t throw the tiki!!
I agree
Loved seeing Vincent Price playing a comedy role in this one.
If you weren’t raised I. 0:37
Just gonna say it because nobody else has, but Jan voice at the beginning of this song is the best of the four solos.
