The Roland EA-7 featues over 1500 instrument sounds and a new WAV file import, as well as onboard sampling function. The EA7 majors on it’s incredible sound quality - the clarity of the voices is absolutely superb. This arranger keyboard features lots of buttons for direct control of the most important performance functions - there are 156 buttons on the front panel. There is a logical dueal screen layout that separates style associated features from the sounds. The microphone input on the EA7 has it’s own effects assigned to it, and the keyboard is very lightweight - weighing in at just 8KG!

Yes Upr 1, 2 , 3 and lower accompaniment....
You can edit all the sounds ....import samples....record MP3 .....comes with 600 styles and 1500 sounds ....load further more styles as many as your thumb drive can store.....256 user tones and 128 user drum kits......mp3 recording .....mic effects for vocals....style composer......wat else do you want to know....

Good demo. Can we use sliders with organ sounds?
No. Since E80 and G70, Roland doesn't offer drawbars in an arranger keyboard.
Can the E A7 layer multiple samples on a single key which will work across the entire keyboard (like the older B35)
It has 4 sounds that you can combine and play, like piano, e-piano, strings, organ etc. These are called upper 1,2,3 and lower sounds. The level of each can be easily controlled with the sliders on the front, so for sound balance you don’t need to dive deep into sub-menus and I really like this function. Also you can balance the style vs main sound easily on these slider or through another dedicated knob, which makes it handy to balance all kind of sound on the fly.
This function is great and I don’t think that many other arranger keyboards offer this kind of instant sound mixer / balance function.
In some other respects it does lack a bit though compared to top PSR and Korg PA models. There is no touch screen and there are no organ drawbars which I miss. Even my old Casio WK 760 has drawbars and fantastic control of organ sounds
Great demo of the the EA7. I'm using a BK7m for live gigs, I've tried my usb stick into a Bk9 and all my settings work, witch is really great(no more days setting up a system).. will this also work with the EA7? (the drum patch's sound almost identical) Also does a EA7 have the super natural sounds of the BK9?!
Nope, nothing like this. It's more like a limited E80.

if you are more concerned on real sounding styles and accompaniment, s970 beats PA 900 as well as ea7.
s970 provides good quality strings, guitars, decent sounding pianos and ep.
Korg on the other hand is way too costlier for what it provides. Good depth in sounds.
piano sounds are good in Roland too. style and backing sounds horrible when comparing with s970.
s970 is the best among all for the quality and the price..
I like the tones of fecking..
sliders are great for the upper lower and drum bass sections however there is no screen showing the parts assigned to the sliders in the style mixer, so you are playing live.. a part is too loud or doesn't fit the song you have to hit options and then go to the make up screen to see what part is on what slider in the style. also doesn't seem very expandable, all the other main brands have expander packs for tones and styles but not Roland there is nothing out there for this keyboard and the lack of sf2 support makes importing tones difficult unless you are an expert in sampling, there is a link on the Roland site for the pc librarian option tutorial but unless you are psychic its not a lot of use as they couldn't be bothered to add a commentary just a cursor pointing at the buttons. only had the EA7 a few weeks and already thinking of getting rid of it and going for korg or yamaha
Tony, I always watch your videos. Very nice playing and very inspirational. Would studio monitor speakers give this keyboard the best sound in a larger home music room, or would a PA speaker be better? Thanks.

I have the instrument i just bought it how do you turn off left side of the piano just to play notes notes from dance style music so i can plAy only on right side acc6 turns off both i need one side only left side for notes right side to for tone

When you want style files and sounds with articulations, Yamaha is the better choice.
I cannot get a manual "drum fill" during playback. Any solutions? Excuse the lame question.

How long have you had your EA7?
@@myrio1 I’ve had it for a week now. Some functions ans sounds love but some I am a bit dissatisfied with like absence of a drum fill, harsh sounding chords on low octave with some sounds etc. Lack of good reverb and other effects etc.
I also have a Roland FA08 and a Casio WK 760 (excellent organ and draw bars that I miss on EA7).
The ability to play chords on both hands piano style on full range of the board is fantastic and is not possible on the Casio.
I previously had Yamaha PsRS 900 as well which could also play style
Simultaneously along with full keyboard length piano style playing
Sounds like you know what you want to get out of it! I use it along with a Yamaha MX61. Also I have a midi impact controller GX61 that I use for my soft synth sounds in my studio when laying keyboard tracks! Between the 3 I find the sound I need!
how is it "expandable" ? can you record MIDI songs ?
Hi Alex. The EA7 has an internal memory, but you can also use USB to save additional files. Hope this helps.

PSR S 770, you get more and better styles.

This is an amazing keyboard. The EA7 bring more functions than the BK9 like the multipads and more one touch buttons very practical. Too bad : no more chords loop function !

This is first time I listen to roland... I like the style so much though i'm a Yamaha psr fan for years & sx900 is on the way. Roland could be my 2nd keyboard soon. I have listen to Korg pa1000 & i don't really like the style, i don't know why... It just not soothe my taste.

Sliders are a must. Yamaha just wont do them on arranger keyboards, just highly overpriced genos or tyros.

I tried updating it, it is such an ordeal, had to take the risk and abort, luckily nothing happened.
je l'ai depuis 1 mois. Très bons rythmes, fonctions pratiques sans entrer dans les menus, Mais, dommage, la qualité des sons n'est pas top... Il faut une très bonne sono pour cacher la misère...
salut, moi ça fait un mois et demi, j'ai découvert des sons incroyables et je n'ai pas fait le tour, et je n'ai pas d'ampli, à 1200 euros on ne peut avoir le beurre et la crémière, à moins d'opter pour le juno di et d'avoir un ampli.

hi, it is a good keyboard, but sorry to say not very user friendly, especially for a one-man show. Sadly all the tutorials on youtube are in some foreign languages but English. the videos like yours are there in English but just an overview type.... which does not cover the various features and settings in detail. Simplest things like adding a sustain to a tone is a big deal, unlike in other arrangers, just use the sustain button on the main panel. The manual is not very helpful also. Can somebody guide me on this, please? I have a Yamaha 950, all you have to do is press the auto arranger button and you are good to go, even the Korg PA 700.
It cuts sounds off when you touch sliders
I am rather disappointed they did not use three displays though.

Sax and flutes and classic sounds are more powerful in Korg
