The line "Hold on to hope, I'm homeward bound" is so sad to me...
I picture it being the last transmission of soldier to their loved ones, watching the debris shoot past their spacecraft's window, as they plummet to a planet uncontrollably, implying for the their loved ones to keep hoping for the war to be over, and "homeward" being a metaphor for the end of the soldiers life, or just a way to convince the loved one that the soldier will be okay, finding peace in death...

I'm a D1 vet that just finished the King's Fall strike in D2 for the first time. To me, it's literally a homecoming, because Destiny was, and still is, there for me in my darkest times and I spent almost all my time on the Dreadnaught when I was a kid

It makes me sad that there will be no more Guardians who get to experience the thrill of D2 launch. Yes, the game ended up being pretty thin post story, but for D1 vets, feeling this weak with double primaries and nearly getting killed by Ghaul, only to get right back up and kick ass... The Red War had some incredible moments now in the vault, completely impossible to relive.

After my comment 2 years ago, lance has passed, what was it the speaker said "Devotion inspires bravery,bravery inspires sacrifice, sacrifice leads to death" it feels fitting.
Lance was devoted to his family,his craft,and his fans. he was brave in the face of uncertainty. he sacrificed for the life he created. and he died knowing he had done what was needed.
He earned being our commander, our friend, and our favorite va. Rest well guardian.

I am sooo late to the game.. literally.. I just started playing Destiny 2, 3 days ago.. and it is because of you guys songs about it and the gorgeous visuals of the game within them. The combination convinced me to give it a shot, even though I have *never* played this type of game before in my life. And I am fuckin HOOKED. I love it so much. Nothing has ever made me feel so much like a gamer since like my Super Nintendo days I think if I'm being real. Thank you guys so much for being amazing and opening my eyes to new games that I may not have otherwise given a shot. You fuckin rock.

We are getting closer to the end.. 9 years soon to be... season 19 is 3 weeks in and we guardians will defend humanity and our allies if it's the last thing we can do.. if the traveler falls.. we will find strength. Lightfall is around the corner. It is 12/24/22... Thank you to those who have stuck to the game even in its darkest moments.. This game is one of a kind.. and will always hold one of the strongest stories ever told in gaming history. And even hopefully one day, movie/tv history. This... is our Destiny. Soon, the darkness will consume and drink all light. And someday, the final shape will take form.
