This genuinely made me cry. So many things and more why Alex Turner is my favorite songwriter and AM is my favorite band.
honestly, his songwriting is so genuine. I feel like there is so much rock music that has meaningless lyrics, but every single one of Arctic Monkeys' songs has heart and soul in their meaning. Alex Turner is an amazing songwriter, his lyrics telling a story through such abstract language and figurative language no ordinary person would come up with. the band is so genuine because, like Alex said, they're all just best friends making music together. it doesn't matter what mainstream media wants from them, or if they even go mainstream on their next album, its just what they enjoy doing.
