Hello, i was hoping to ask a few questions prior to purchasing this scan tool. I cannot figure out to to send a message to your inbox.. was wondering if this tool has the ability to program a module to a vehicle. Im not sure of the bmw “plug and play” abilities on main ecu replacements.. i have a 2002 bmw 3 series 328i rear wheel drive and when it warms up the idle starts surging slightly. Never sets check engine light. Have replaced pretty much everting except the ecu and wanted to make sure im not setting myself up to be stranded not being to code or program second module. I like all the other abilities as shown in your video. Thank you for sharing and thank you in advance for any help
Just to let people know if they are interested, i bought a Foxwell NT510 scanner after i got my injectors coded. the option is there to code bmw 135i n54 injectors, i could see the values and i could change the coding if i wanted. however i did not try to change them as they were already coded. it looked pretty straight forward with instructions on what to exactly do. hopefully this helps someone out.
This scanner's menu screen looks just like the Foxwell's NT510. I really like my NT510. I use it for my Wife's 2011 X5 and for my 2001 Land Rover Discovery ($70 extra).
JUKE179r it’s the same scanner just in grey plastic. Foxwell makes both and they run on the exact same software. Downloading additional vehicle brand software suites was 50$ last time I needed a new brand. This was only a few months ago after foxwell switched to free lifetime software updates.
Can this be used to activate the BMW alarm system I retrofitted to my 2001 E46 325xi? Also wondering if it can be used to reprogram the Business CD I upgraded to which turned on the tamper dot on the dash display?
As far as I know this is basic reprogramming, nothing major, it's not that integrated. You can change some settings for the way the car, what you're trying to do is reprogram the computer and for that you need to seek someone with the original Bmw tool, you can buy it but last time I checked it was like 1k+
Under the Q&A on the listing for this item on ECS' website, someone asked your exact question and ECS' reply was yes, it can be used to code new injectors. Now, I don't know how much truth there is behind that but I sure am hoping they're right because I just ordered mine last night. lol.
saltwaterdickslap yeah i can confirm that i recoded my injectors successfuly . so you are safe there. although sometimes example u enter 225 n 287 it will change it to 226 and 289 that is completly fine and has been confirmed by everyone
I'm relieved to hear that. Yes, I remember seeing that the numbers will change just slightly so I have no worries about that. Thanks for confirming that they will in fact code the injectors!
Probably not because there’s srs wires going to the seat belt and occupancy sensor. They sell devices on eBay that you can wire in to simulate the occupancy sensor and the seat belt pre-tensioners. You will need 4 devices in total 2 occupancy sensor sims and 2 seat belt sims they arnt very expensive. After you install them then you should be able to turn the light off or for $20 and a windows laptop if you have a e46 get BMW scanner 1.4 and you can code out the sensors and pre-tensioners. Good luck. If you don’t have the tool and a e46 go with BMW scanner 1.4 you can code and do diagnostics.
Jose Villanueva as I said I'm not sure, what I do know is that you can change values for some things but I never done it before so I can't tell you that it does
Can you tell me if it works on all other vehicles or if it is only for bmw? I only ask because I have a Volkswagen and a ford and I don't really wanna invest if it only works on these specific models.
As far as I know I have an Audi and it does the basic codes that are universal but this is specific for BMW codes as they use their own unique codes for their cars, but I had no problems using it on other cars so far.
+TerminatorTecks ok awesome. I saw they released a vw audi one but was hesitant to buy it if I can only use it on vw/audi. as long as I can scan and get codes for other vehicles then it is worth it. I prefer specific codes for my vw and universal codes for other vehicles isn't too bad.
if you still have it can you check and see if its gonna scan the 1990 bmw e30 thanks
isnt this the same as foxwell nt510?
2008

The NT510 is awsome, can handle pretty much anything on a BMW. For under 200$ the value is unbeatable

Use your earphones moron
I just purchased one....great video...can you make a video of some of the coding features...thanx
+Joshua Mckeehan Hello, Which coding feature would you like to see? There are so many of them!
+Joshua Mckeehan ruclips.net/video/JQF4gBLNLRo/видео.html ,watch this video, let me know if this is this something you are referring to ?
No I was thinking of like coding as in the remote or terminating lights or programming mirrors to fold in when locked etc.
TerminatorTechs, please let me know how this video has any relation to any coding?
Would this program the air ride suspension on a 2004 bmw x5?
Can this be used to activate the BMW alarm system I retrofitted to my 2001 E46 325xi? Also wondering if it can be used to reprogram the Business CD I upgraded to which turned on the tamper dot on the dash display?
I don't think this tool programs anything besides changes some values and resets codes and reads codes.
does anyone know if this can be used to recode new injectors on a BMW 135i n54? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Will this work on 2009 328ix?
for use with BMW
Jimmy Ray I don’t see why not. It has all the body types in it and the sd card that comes with it can be updated
Yes, I have a 10’ 328xi N51. Works great
@@kingpin16052 for OBD codes does this show BMW P codes?
Can it turn off airbags light I have aftermarket seats and airbags light on
Did you determine if it will turn off the airbag light?

What BMW do you have and I will suggest the best method to get you airbags working.
can it recode a steering angle sensor on a 2007 335i?
Jose Villanueva I don't think it does any recoding.
well i meant code a steering angle sensor like it does the injectors?
Jose Villanueva as I said I'm not sure, what I do know is that you can change values for some things but I never done it before so I can't tell you that it does
Does it works for M series? Like F80, F82?
As far as I know all bmws are supported. This is a mid rang scanner tool it won't do any deep diagnostics.
My body type: sexy

ramiro rodriguez you can use it on other cars but it is able to read the specific vw/Audi codes if you buy that version
Can it calibrate a electronic wastegate actuator? 328i n20
