went to silver creek with zach, zeds older brother, zed was 3 years younger i believe. watched that “3 sport star” sit with kids at lunch who weren’t the popular ones, and made their days out of the kindness of his heart. he is truly humble, true to his family, and one hell of a lacrosse player. glad to be able to say i went to the same school as him and knew him
Larson Sundown second all time in NYS In points I see. Another skin, played in the same section, and just recently a national championship in college. A lot of great stories coming out of the Rez and I love it. My boys have such good role models to look up to.
What an awesome story - Zed should be one of the true great ambassadors of our sport for years to come. I didn’t realize until now though that his family was that big, I knew he had older brothers but not that he was one in 7 kids. My wife and I have 3 and know the challenges that brings (well worth it) but 7, his parents need sainted 😇. I’m sure his father was truly with him and the Wipes last summer and will return for more. Mad-props to you Zed and your family.
I definitely learned how humble he is. For someone with so many points like him, it’s awesome to see him have no ego and play off of his teammates. The credit to Rambo is awesome. Shows how much they both really just bought into each other and the goal of winning it all. Also learned alligator arms isn’t always bad ;)
I learned that Zed is the most humble man you will ever meet. He's the perfect role model for all youth lax players and... he's just getting started!!! I can't wait to see what he does next
Talking about sharing sticks/gear reminded me of Rabil’s story where his neighbour gave him a stick. Even if they’re family, all it can take for someone to have an opportunity to excel at the game is sharing what you have with them; be it equipment, knowledge, or just your time.
I learned that Zed is able to find ways to stay on his dominant hand and even without the fastest shot he is able to find the back of the net and shoot from multiple different angles
I was sad that the Whips had to lose a lot of their players to expansion after the first year of the PLL and I'm sad again. I guess that's the price of expanding and growing the league (and growing Lacrosse as a sport). This video on Zed just shows how much of a family the teams are and how painful it is to have to make some of their members "unprotected" and available to be taken by another team.
I didn’t realize that Zed was a new member on the team. It seemed like they all had been playing together for years. I guess that was a reason why they won the championship.
In HS not only was Zed a 3x HS AA and Under Amour AA in lacrosse but also NY 1st team all state in basketball and football. Amazing athleticism, especially for his size…
FINAL WHISTLE QUESTION:
One thing you learned about Zed in this video? Let us know for a chance to win a Zed Williams Name & Number Tee!
He grew up in New York
Learned the Zed went to UVA
Learned his dad helped him win that championship through spirit and that Matt rambo was an amazing friend to him from the start.
He has a lot of siblings
best line - "You dont have to be the best, you just have to do your job"
"You dont have to be the best, you just have to do your job" That's a team player
Definitely recommend Zed's feature on Paul Carcaterra's Overtime. Such a humble and great guy
I found out zed went to school 5 min away from me 🤣

ummm it's silver creek HS not silver lake.......
I didn't know that Zed tells himself "I don't have to be the best, I just have to do my job." That's wise, Zed.
I didn’t realize that Zed was a new member on the team. It seemed like they all had been playing together for years. I guess that was a reason why they won the championship.
I learned Zed was a beast in HS. I can't believe he scored that many goals. Wow! 😲
In HS not only was Zed a 3x HS AA and Under Amour AA in lacrosse but also NY 1st team all state in basketball and football. Amazing athleticism, especially for his size…
I learned that he was from Silver CREEK and that he's a great lacrosse player, but an even greater human being.
Honestly i recently realised that i watched Zed play at the wilc in 2019 without even knowing
He was very good at the wilc
Completely botched Cattaraugus buddy 😂 and it’s “silver creek” high school. Played him for 3 years. He was nasty
Fr disrespected rawgus
Zed daddy 😫
3:53 dude was thumbing the ball even in college smh
Awesome
You forgot that he won a founders cup with the six nations rebels back in like 2012.

One thing I learned was he gained 729 points in high school passing Casey Powell

I learned that Zed absolutely destroyed records in HS

THIS is the kind of lacrosse player we all need to emulate... not hot heads.
Zed had 729 goles in high school which ny state record
Zedzilla
There are no dislikes
Cata-rawgus. Not cata-Ray-gus . And western New York smh. Oh and silver creek. You even has the news clippings to correct you
Humble guy great...with 2days camera footage, you can see zed thumbing the ball. OFTEN..the sport of lacrosse suffers..it's getting worse and worse
Zed is my cousin
i leared zed won mvp
I had no idea zed had the more goals then Powell
Nothing makes an mvp like wards and thumbing the ball 👍🏼
