So many people have suspected that the princess is Darkness's sister. But Darkness is just nobility, not royalty.
That is not to say they’re not related at all.
Royalty frequently married into the nobility in order to retain their loyalty, so Darkness’ resemblance to Iris isn’t at all a coincidence.
Also, one of the reasons that Darkness is so serious regarding the princess is that she dotes on her.
The anime mostly brushes over this to save time, but it is clear from the subtext that they knew each other from before.
So Darkness may not be her sister, but she’s definately someone who’s like a big sister.

Fun fact: most of this episode is anime original and rearranged cut content from LN 5/the movie (Sylvia and related PTSD, Kazuma wanting to be a monk, Chris appearing, and the mallet are all anime original.) 4:03 - The anime original glorified extra, whose name is Ruffian. 6:14 - Been set up since LN 1 and the rest mentioned in the movie comment. 6:56 - When Megumin held his hand, he reminisced his past (it’s implied that she’s like his childhood friend) of his childhood friend wanting to marry him, only for him to get traumatized from seeing her riding a senpai’s bike and never went back to school/became a HikiNEET and became well known in online games. This is basically why he is the way that he is/‘gender equality’ and that he has PTSD. Also, there’s tons of cute moments in Konosuba and the spin-off series. Extra info about Tranquility Girl: the stump is part of the body, it gives a lot of EXP (like the Farfetch’d monster from KonoBakuen), and old people seek one out to die in tranquility (hence the name) by eating a placebo fruit that doesn’t feed them and they pass away in peace and painlessly.
12:09 - Already rich after LN 3/S2 and Vanir’s business contract will give him 300 million Eris as a lump sum, for his intellectual rights for inventions, so just less rich now. It’s similar to the movie, where Ep. 1 contains the cliffhanger ending from the previous book (the letter from Iris is how the movie should’ve ended and Ep. 2 will be the start of LN 6.) Everything else I mentioned in my comment for the movie, since this was cut content from the book it adapted. 15:01 - Eris is the junior Goddess to Aqua and the name of the money (15:43 is the person.) 16:02 - You saw Darkness’ family in S2 and she doesn’t have a sister and Darkness’ family are nobles, which isn’t the same as the Royal Family. 16:59 - Vanir.
The reason Aqua recognized the mallet is because another person she reincarnated in that world chose that to bring with him but she forgot😂
Eris was probably watching Kazuma's party recognized the mallet as an Aqua gift and got Chris to repossess the mallet back into heavenly inventory. Infinite gold would have wrecked the economy.
Common mistakes that reactioners make: since Darkness is noble and not royal she is not princess' sister.
It said in the anime that the royal family favors the dutchess family, so they are royal you don't want to mess with on most time
I have not seen one reactor that didn't just assume that Iris was a sister. Apparently nobody understands that Royal and Noble are not synonyms

@@Blightlenox Also, "first princess" means Iris is the oldest princess. Since, she's younger than Darkness, that's also a way to rule it out if you spot her in the opening.
Pretty sure th goddes that bring him back is named Eris. the princess in the letter was spelled Iris .pretty similiar,not the same.
Ah so good to be back on this and Kazuma PTSD over happened in the movie, especially involving Sylvia 😂 was so great 👍
