The video is more than 3 yrs old - but as I remember it is a fuel jet. If it needs cleaning you clean it.

Rigtig god video, jeg har fået min havetraktor til at køre stabilt i omdrejninger igen, det var skidt i carburetoren.
    Mvh Mathias

    Do the Carb setup:
H and L screws (upper screws) turn them in and for first setup 1 cycle out again.
LA Screw (the big one underneath) same way, turn clockwise in and 1 cycle out then.
Start the FS36 and let it run for about 3 minutes. Turn the lower LA screw couterclockwise till idle rpm is near, stay slightly above.
Then check the best position for the L screw (upper right one, next to the engine), play around +- 45° for best engine sound, then readjust LA for low enough rpm at idle without spinning head.
This needs a bit time, also push the gas handle to check if the system works stable when falling back from high rev to idle. If the engine stops, readjust slightly. It's all within a quarter turn, only in Peru, Bhutan or in hell you need more adjustment.
If the setup works so far, go for the H screw (left little upper one) and play around within +-45°, it's the high rpm setting. If the engine rises fast without stuttering, the ideal position is found. Play.
Love my 10.000 upm FS36, sounds and smells like on the GP 125 racetrack back in the days. It never let me down and it's easy to handle for small jobs. Just do the setup and use good, stable fuel.

I always get it HOT, before adjusting H and L screws as this is normal temp for running and idling. DONT run 2 strokes lean for the H screw. at 3/4 power with load, find half way between too lean and rich and turn it back towards Rich till you hear the engine start to beat then you can turn it back to the right till it almost is beating. This will be just rich enough. Worst you will do over rich is foul the plug but too LEAN and you will wear out the bore and piston and whole engine has to be replaced. When mixing oil in fuel use a separate jar to mix it fully with petrol THEN put that in can and shake again. DONT put oil into can and try to mix it, it will not mix right and you plug will foul and carbon and stop. Also the oil CAN separate from the oil over time, so always SHAKE the can before pouring into tank and you can also shake the fuel tank too so that hasnt separated after sitting.

runs like crap .. did you even check the compression or view the piston thru the exhaust port for visible scoring on the piston ?

Thank you for the vote of confidence. Might be the sound distorting the engine sound - but this trimmer runs perfectly and has been doing so since it was repaired over a year ago.

@@HobbyMotorDK The audio is fine but i also noticed at 35:12 you also didn't replace or reinstall the fuel pump diaphragm when you replaced the fuel pump gasket.. the yellow film thing on the right. You also didn't test the check valves for the H & L . But who cares right ? Sorry, no vote of confidence.

@@matttafakt Why would I replace the old diaphram when the card kit has a new one? - and if you know how please let me know where the check valves for the H&L circuits are located and how they should be tested - i hope I may learn something new

God video. Tommel op herfra. Sjovt du også laver gamle “værdiløse” maskiner og den kører jo som ny igen nu.
