I recently read the past of the light novel where Lahan tells Maomao it would be interesting if she had Jinshi's baby. It was so out of the blue for me. But he deserves acknowledgement as the first "impossible baby" fan.
It was hilarious when Lakan said “did you force yourself onto my daughter” and the next frame was Jinshi with that mischievous face saying probably. I know he is answering MaoMao question but it’s funny to think he said that to Lakan
Given how he couldn’t be there for MaoMao during her childhood, Lakan would move Heaven and Earth to make as many memories he can with his grandson
Now we need to see Loumen with his grandson, and Granny with her great grandson. And of course all Maomao's sisters doting on him. They'll all spoil him rotten ❤.

knowing how awkward the relationship is between maomao & lakan, it's heartwarming to know that she still cares about him as a family to the point that she told him about her pregnancy and never prevented her own son to meet up with lakan freely.

If Maomao ever actually has children one day I think she would let Lakan meet her kids but it would not be a recurring thing maybe only once every couple of years, because Maomao does not strike me as someone who would keep something like that from her kids, but at the same time does not want him around them so often

Apuesto que las tontas infantiles pero fieles y trabajadoras sirvientas de Gyokkoyo, que me imagino que lo malcriarian y se morirían de la ternura por el por hijo su ídolo y del hombre más popular del palacio , las sirvientas bobas pero fieles a Lihua lo envidiarian por ser hijo de Mao-Mao pero lo adorarian por ser hijo Jinshi, apuesto que tanto Ah-Dou lo adoria por ser hijo de su hijo,Anshi también aunque como nunca demostró su amor por sus hijos, pero ella adoró a Jinshi que lo adoraba como si fuera suyo , a Lingli, al segundo hijo Lihua y al segudo hijo de Gyokkoyo y apesar de ser los hijos del hijo del hombre que la violó de niña, los adoraba por igual.

If feel despite his flaws he is NOT a bad person just extremely(can’t stress this more) misunderstood. Also it’s more like Maomao forced her self on to him.(with consent obvi.)

In Sinitic languages, they have terms to distinguish between paternal and maternal relationship. Paternal grandfather is 爷爷(yeh yeh). Maternal grandfather is 外公( wai kung). The emperor is yeh yeh while Lakan is wai kung. If the language is in Mandarin, Maomao will immediately knows that her son wants to visit his maternal grandfather.

I can’t imagine Lankan being stupid enough to disrespect jinshi like that you know with jinshi’s true identity, I might be reading in to it to but still in the cannon Lankan never dare to disrespect jinshi (-one time when Lankan was trying to buy Mao mao from jinshi he was a little rude) but still. I have mixed feelings about Lankan, one thing is for shore if I got disrespected like that I would be mad it is extremely rude not to mention jinshi’s status if Lankan was not his father in law kinda wonder if jinshi would punish him for his disrespect (probably not but still, hope he would tho I know I would)(no hate for Lankan mixed feelings for him but still.

Lakan absolutely will disrespect jinshi. He's done it more then once in the light novels. He blew up a part of Jinshi's house when he wasn't allowed to see maomao(she was in a very bad condition) he also openly mocked jinshi in front of everyone when maomao was kidnapped. He can do that because he's actually the emperor's close friend. When maomao's adopted father(lakan's uncle) was kicked out of the palace, lakan gave the emperor himself a hard very time for years. So yeah when and if jinshi got maomao pregnant there will be a big mess caused by lakan.
Seriously 😳 sad story or not I don’t think I like this guy (have not yet read the light novels , is open for spoilers) to bully the emperor and jinshi who both have a higher status than him if I was jinshi for that kind of disrespect emperor’s friend or not he would pay (btw I am a HUGE FAN OF JINSHI) and I doubt mao mao would care about anything that happens to Lankan either.
Can someone tell me why jinshi and the emperor (mainly jinshi) take this bully with there high status I would not that is for sure
@@justanother3367 well it's not really bullying, it's like lakan doesn't back down from taunting them at any chance he gets. The emperor doesn't mind because of 2 things. 1st is that he's a close friend and 2nd is that lakan basically manages the whole military. So like if at any moment the country goes to war lakan is the only person who's gonna be able to handle that. And as you know lakan is the best strategist, it's not like they'll ever find a good enough replacement for him. So even though it might not look like it, but lakan is like the 3rd most important person in this country right after the emperor and jinshi. As for why jinshi doesn't do anything, jinshi respects lakan's knowledge and intelligence a lot. It's clear when lakan was able to solve some military issues for jinshi in mare seconds when Jinshi's been stressed for months trying to solve them. Also jinshi doesn't like the kind of power he has as the emperor's closest relative. He's actively trying to get out of the succession line so if he creats problem with lakan there will be more trouble then he wants. Also jinshi is basically just a really good guy to do any harm to lakan. As for maomao, you have to understand that she doesn't hate lakan. She's made it clear that there's no hatred. She doesn't like him. But not liking someone doesn't mean you'd want them dead. Maomao often says stuff she doesn't mean because she herself is very oblivious when it comes to her emotions. She makes it clear that she doesn't like her bio mom and sees her as someone who gave birth to her, but still she dances to celebrate when lakan and her mom finally reunite. There's a lot of other examples in the light novels but I don't want to spoil them. So in one word maomao doesn't understand her own feelings well. So she'll probably feel a little bit of emotion if something were to happen to lakan.

Obviously, duh. He also recognizes Jinshi's face for two reasons: he went to rescue Maomao (S2 events) and because of his scar on his face.

You know when you think about it, the whole
“To get stronger” or “To become the strongest” trope is actually quite exaggerated and flawed. I mean, becoming stronger and becoming better at something (Ex: A better fighter or game player) are very different things. Being strong means being physical fit, not good at fighting. I mean, there’s such a thing as having strong kicks and punches, etc, but that’s not the point. Why not break it down into sub tropes like: “The learning” trope, “Becoming smarter or wiser” trope,
“The sharpening of one’s skills” trope, etc.
It's a child reasoning, something you cannot grasp entirely. Like with lil Maomao swinging around a snake and full excited showing it (and scaring the courtesans).
Lakan's wise words could be: *"Do not play harder, play smarter."*
