ABOUT ME:
I’m Liam Harrison, Bolton born and bred. I’m a lover of Golf, life and laughter.
Started Golf 12 years ago after packing in football when i was 28 due to a back injury.
I started the RUclips channel as a laugh and a Wim, to make me practice but that went out the window as i started vlogging, loving being on camera but more so the interaction with my #golfmates.
In 14 months i have seen the channel evolve and become the only real golf community on RUclips which i am extremly proud of.
I would like to thank all the #golfmates that have been with us and supported us and the channel from the start. Also not forgetting our new #golfmates that may have only just come across the channel.

Liam, just love all yr videos.what a fantastic job you and the Dick & OMP are doing. I hope you don't mind my giving you a very crucial golf tip and one that I, as a golf instructor of many years standing, believe to be absolutely crucial in improving yr golf. And that is POSTURE. Liam my friend. You are too stooped over the golf ball. There is no need to flex your knees as much as you do.
Try to assume a more upright, relaxed, tension free position at address. I promise not only will this look more natural but will result in yr golf becoming more consistent. Hope this helps. I believe you have the potential to make a significant improvement if only you make this minor but important change at address. Good luck.

Some time ago, I was off single figures (just) and I was considered a long hitter. I played at Reading Golf Club, in a competition, with Laura Davies. I stood on tee, with Driver, and smashed it! - tried not to look too smug, stepped back all casual and modest. She stepped up, same tee, took out a PINK two iron and smashed it so far past me I have doubts it has stopped yet! - From that day Laura Davies name being used in conversation is always followed by a slight bow of respect.
I had the same type of experience back in my home town. Played in a 4 some, with two of the course professional's...and an LPGA touring professional, Kristy Albers. ( I was by myself, and head pro asked me to join them to make it a 4some)
To make a long story short...she out-drove all us on every hole by at least 20 yards! I gave up trying to come close to her on third hole...I just went to playing my own game!
I played with Paul Lawrie , i hit a good drive, he hit a four iron 240

It seems to me that you are swinging to protect your back. Dont forget you are only just coming back from injury. So dont beat yourself up and look to change things, just be patient. Liam going back to one of hour recent blogs. There is a petition to save Hollingbury Park golf club in Brighton . I used to be a member there and if a great council course . Closure will be early next year and it would be a shame to lose another course.
That is sad to hear, im just along the coast in Worthing.
Same at my local course. Brandhall, west mids. Council trying to close it down to put a housing estate on. Signed our petition the other day. Not hopeful tho I'm sad to say.

Serious question, I struggle to get away on golf trips with the lads, so usually go somewhere with the missus and I play golf while she does a spa trip or whatever women get up to? Do golf mates travel do anything for couples if only one is playing golf?

Played there a few years ago. They had drained all the ponds for maintenance. Dead fish everywhere, absolutely stunk, golf smelt abit aswell. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Liam, at 6:38 you seem to have aimed way to the right, should've aimed way more left, like to the black pole/marker and then let it curve to the green...
so the 6th hole, the 1st you play, is that Stroke 1 the Slope Rating? ie the hardest hole on the course? Handicap should always be allocated based on either Slope rating or Match Play rating, I believe both are included on Australian cards at the moment... but it's been two years since i played comp, so I could be wrong

GOLFMATES nah... not with weather like that. Iron sulphate, Humic acid, decent winter fert and it stays green and healthy all year round. A bit like the greens buddy, you don’t see them going brown...

Don't flog yourselves for going in the liquid. I couldn't play this course as my bag couldn't carry enough balls to get round and even if it could, I wouldn't be able to lift it.
