Sabaton have really struck gold with the new guys (it may be too late to call them new). Chris and Thobbe are fantastic guitarists and Hannes is an equally fantastic drummer. and they seem like really fun people. in other words: they're a perfect fit for sabaton
I think they have had good drummers all around, Rob was drumming when i saw Sabaton live as opener to maiden and i thought he was awesome. Hannes is on my top 5 list Atm. He is a complete drummer. Being a good actor dont hurt either, talking these awesome videos they keep doing.
I think snowy had been more part of the band than robban :P Either way, I think I'll like Hannes better than either of them. He seems like a pretty laidback and fun guy.
i'm sooooooooooooooooooooo glad it's not snowy. that guy single handedly ruined the last show they played in phoenix. this guy seems cool though. but sabaton, how about getting a keyboard player so we don't have to listen to canned music anymore please!?!
ok. it's started out with this guy who looked like a lost roady walking up on stage with super short cutoff shorts, a black and white scarf (in phoenix where it's hotter than hell mind you), and these giant womens sunglasses on (at 11pm) and sits down behind the drums and starts playing. the first stick hit is a miss and rim shot instead of a drum hit. so sabaton comes flying out onto the stage looking and sounding, with metal pouring out of them, like this huge band ready to rip your face off. then the first drum fill parts come up and this douche is playing some kind of "jazzy" drum fill that is not even in the song, doesn't sound metal, and to top it off, he comes out of it late and since they are all playing to click tracks, it messes up the band for a bit. then every drum fill after that was this jazzy bullshit lasting at least twice as long as the fill that is in the original song and he's trying to do all this weird shit that doesn't fit the music AT ALL. it was just terrible and made sabaton sound like a cheap version of a sabaton tribute band or something. it was aweful. i wrote to Par about it and he response was that snowy is this great drummer and he like to improvise in the songs. let me tell you, if i wanted to hear a drummer improvise a sabaton song, i'd go listen to a cover band. if i want to hear a drummer playing "jazzy" licks, then i'd go to a jazz or blues club. but that night i paid good money to see the real sabaton and hear some friggin metal. i almost got both. that snowy guy just ruined it all.
Why not get back daniel mullback? Nothing was like him. I mean, he's might not the best drumer or moste tecnical bit gaad i liked gis style. Tbh he's onw of my worlds top drummer. Anyway. Whats about getting new members all the time. I am sure this guy wont play for longe. Dont miss understand me. I love sabaton, and will support them in any decitions they made. But i like to be critical some times.
Because Daniel left, he wasn't kicked out... they guys who left apparently didn't like the idea of constant touring while having a family, so they quit... That's why they needed new members in the first place...
mullback is my favourite drummer, but he isn't coming back to sabaton... But for those who don't know, he and the rest of the members that left has started a new band called civil war. even thogh they're not as good as sabaton it's still amazing
great! good for snowy! will no longer be in this band of children. Snowy is dedicated to his own band .... and new drummer, not bad, to continue playing canned music.
