Again, I get it, but it just makes me even more excited for Amorin to step in and completely shake things up like we haven’t had for a long time.
I think it's mainly because Garnacho and Rashford are too similar, they been focussed too much on cutting on the inside so when they don't, they're just not great at finding the man in the box. Like of a lot of fans have been saying, Amad needs to start to give a bit more balance in creativity at the front, then Rashford or Garnacho can come on at the end for pace against tired legs.
Completely agree with you. I don't know why professional coaches don't do the fundamentals right. Starting 3 similar types of player upfront is only good for the team if all those 3 players are having a purple patch, if not one of the three player should always be a creative player. Look at prime Liverpool for example, Mane, firmino and salah. Firmino was the creator upfront while the other two were the goal threat. Our front line should always be Hojlund+Amad+Rashford/Garnacho. Or if we start both Garnacho+Rashford together, the third player should be either Amad/Zirkzee.

Counter attacking was spot on but it was the players who let this game down(bruno, garnacho) The team really played realy well by following safe passes. Unlike ten hag haram ball where they pass dangerously right at the opponent half!

We had so many opportunities but we lacked composure in the final third, Hojlund taking too long to make the pass to Garnacho twice for example. When Ugarte came off we struggled but he was on a yellow and had to come off, but there was only Lindelof there to replace him. The media were over critical trying to heap more doom and gloom after the game but when we were 1-0 up the commentary was quiet which says everything!

We had decent opportunities to exploit but it came to nothing attacking wise & the opportunities that we conceded came because our attackers didnt run back or keep position. What bothered me was that our two defensive midfielders tend to hide behind the chelsea players in the buildup instead of creating the angle for the ball holder. This has happened so many times to Casemiro as a single pivot. But now both Ugarte and Casemiro do the same thing. They need to keep moving and be ready to get the ball in the tight space, instead of walking and ball watching. Even if they end up not getting the ball, they have to be in the right space. In my mind, Kobbie is the only one who can play like a real number 6 in this team.
That always frustrated me about Scott too. I think Case has the intelligence to do this, but not always the legs. Ugarte, hopefully just needs some more coaching.

I think its a major weakness and puts unwanted pressure on the defense and Onana, If Amorim can get Onana to start the offense outside the box, we can be a more direct team. We often let the other team off the hook by setting up or offense so slowly. I am always frustrated by how long it takes to set up the offense. I think we have quality but the United way has become way too lazy. The new coach needs to address the small but important parts of the game. Garnacho was way too selfish and didn't look to pass in key situations where he only had to pass. He was a liability and I don't know what game was Ruud watching to pull Rashford first.

I think utd players need to learn when to pass the ball and who to pass the ball to. They take too long on the ball and then pass when a player is heavily marked. Always forcing the ball in congested areas. Also our movement is too static.

Ugate had a horrible match. I would use ugate next to eriksen with bruno as the creative midfielder. Bruno and eriksen need to be close to each other for united to really click. Rashford would work on the left wing and højlund on top. Then united is at its strongest. When shaw or malacia return they will slot rught in on the left and dalot wil be backup on the right. When mainoo is ready he, eriksen and bruno can rotate the central midfield and ugate and casemiro can rotate for ugate. Still. When i saw the bench only amad was a potential sub. All the tactics in the world are irrelevant if you cant make an accurate 5 yard pass, you dawdle on the ball and get robbed and you dont make the obvious, best choice pass quickly with a bit of snap, its NOT a fkn putt. The forwards need to learn to put their foot through it not all these weak sidefoots. I almost never had a shot saved, I either missed, hit the keeper or scored.
