Austin Hargrave (PeanutButterGamer): Well intentioned goofball with a strong sense of morality… unless it’s funnier to be evil. He claims to fear leadership roles, but often is thrust into them regardless, and looks to his friends for confidence, and performs in them well. Well-enough.
Dean Elezab: A raucous adventurer with a knack for pushing his luck- and he knows it. Another word for Dean would be: polarizing; you either love him or hate him. Love him for his ridiculous (and dangerous) antics or hate him for endangering the team.
Stewart Hargrave (McJones Riley): Discerning and knowledgeable, McJones steers the group in the right direction and provides key information on the task at hand. Due to this role, he’s a little more cautious, but more than ready to play along with shenanigans when there’s downtime.
Barry Kramer: Quiet, chill, and quick of wit, Barry’s the rock of the group. He wouldn’t say this, far too modest, but you just can’t help but think he’s so dang cool. While he’s not one for leadership, affixing Barry to a task almost guarantees it’ll be done safely and quickly.
Jeff Fabre (SpaceHamster): If Austin is goofy then Jeff is bonkers. He has a penchant for escalation when things get silly, but when it’s time to lay out the logistics, Jeff becomes calm and collected. A competent adventurer, Jeff is arguably the most reliable before, during, and after a fight to get the job done.
Jared Knabenbauer (ProJared): Jared is the definition of ‘always on’; if there’s fantasy to be sold you can expect him to captivate. He’s level-headed and roguish in planning and approach, but when it goes down and friends are in danger, there’s few more determined to assist to the bitter end.
Ray Narvaez Jr.: Ray’s the boisterous and confident explorer who can get himself into terrible situations as deftly as he escapes them. I say confident, but he’s so deadpan it’s difficult to tell if he’s bluffing. He’s thoroughly capable in all areas of adventure, but greed can sometimes get the best of him.

Ray almost dying gave me flashbacks to a time where Ray entered a tunnel, never to return

And so...
Group B, now geared with defensive walls known as shields ventures even farther into the depths unknown. Austin and Barry work together to vanquish a creeper, escaping alive while Ray the Legend and Dean the Brave feel overwhelmed by incoming Zombies, almost tasting death.
Shaking off the near-death frights the team returns to the surface and reunites with their three other companions, sharing their wealth.
Will the group find diamonds at last? How will they handle the Abandoned Mineshafts?
Will Dean and McJones get Vietnam flashbacks and fall in the Mineshaft? Find out NEXT TIME on Minecraft Hardcore!

The Red flashing on their icons when they're in danger is less prevelent now than it was in previous seasons.

They don't attack, but in one season someone died suddenly while attacking a bat. So it's kind of a HC inside joke, I suppose. Bats are a bad omen. ;D
To attack you they have to charge up their attack for 12 hours in a parallel universe

Inline ikr! I was playing Minecraft with four of my cousins. It was early in the game so we didn't have beds yet. So we decided to travel in the night collecting string, bones, arrows etc. A tiny zombie killed EVERYONE but one of my cousins, she killed it but she was left with a heart and a half. I was so scared that would happen to them X-D

I'm liking the Ray/Dean Combo.
Also I enjoyed the moment near the end where everyone thinks they're finally on McJones' level with their newfound shields, so he pulls out a cooler shield.

The 999 music really sets the mood.
I like how they found the amazingness of shields. I often forget to make armor because I just make a shield and go adventuring.
The Zero Escape music in the beginning made me so happy.

My favorite thing about the introduction is when if you die you die for good and then you just hear I made mushroom stew
I don't know if it's just because it feels like a while since the last Hardcore, but it feels like they're having more fun with this one. That's good! Certainly makes it more fun for me to watch.
The moment they face the creepers and skeletons head on was improved with that sweet Darksiders 2 music.

2:43 I once had a robot dual-wield shields in a play through of Robotron. It was pretty effective for just absorbing hits when I needed to heal the rest of my party.

After re-watching this season 5 billion times I just realized this video was uploaded on my Birthday
Instead of flashing forward to this episode in the last... The Editor should have flashed back to the last one in this(when the creeper exploded). Just a little note. It should have been a mystery or even just a little thing you didnt notice til in this episode youre like 'Oh thats where the creeper exploded.'

I've been watching these series for who knows how long... and I just now realized the choir in the opening theme is singing "hardcore" ....
There are Subtitles in the game now. You can turn them on in settings and it makes it easy to hear your surroundings.
And also once this UHC is finished, the next UHC should be the search for the "Totem of Undying". That should be fun.
