The ASP Ultras are amazing. Didn't like the old polymer ones, but the new ones are excellent. Expensive, but worth it. Super smooth, versatile, and light.
Have a search on the TOOOL ultimate handcuff key. If you take a real smith & Wesson key (the one you showed is not a modern fat S&W key), you can turn it into a super super compatible key which can even open the high security ASP (blue double lock) and high security chicago handcuffs too.
@@OfficerAjax I'd say it'd be a god send for any emergency worker to have one just in case someone is stuck/trapped/kidnapped then your key has a higher chance of working. You can slightly shorten the zak tool key and cut a little split in the middle and it will still work in everything you usually use and while not quite as good as a properly modified S&W "TOOOL" key, it will still operate more cuffs than before due to the split.
Awesome video! Unfortunately we can’t use ASP but I do enjoy my S&W model 300 cuffs in the nickel finish. I also carry S&W lever lock cuffs as my back up set.
Real smith and Wesson chain cuffs have the key holes on the “same” side. They als have the same double lock as asp. Pearless is the one with the weird button
Your information may be out of date for chain handcuffs. I was issued S&W model 100 chain handcuffs and the key and double locking mechanism is more like the hinged cuffs and have not seen the keys on opposite sides like when orientated properly like on your demonstration model. I think i would prefer the ASP.
Those silver ones are not NIJ certified. They are cheap adult toy cuffs made in Taiwan. Don't rely on those. My favourite S&W is the model 104, and my favourite ASP is model 600 rigid with blue core mechanism. My favourite handcuff of all time is the SAF LOK mk1. Absolutely incredible piece of hardware
The tuff kuffs that rotate - rarer than hens teeth now. I have been lucky enough to have a play with them. They are quite a quirky cuff. Have a look at the S-Ten from New Zealand- they have a great feature as well
What Cuffs do you like and why?
ASP! 100 Per Cent
@@tacticalseanshorts6806 nice!
I like rigid cuffs and all of them to be honest
Edit: such as tch 840 as rigid ones
@@Tea.drinka never tried any I’d like to one day.
@@OfficerAjax you can find some on amazon some of the cheapest are £40 or around that but I don’t know what that is in US dollars
i have always used asp cuffs and i fully agree they are amazing

I’ll check it out.

The ASP keyless double locks are AMAZING, it makes my brain hurt thinking how long I used the traditional style before switching.

That’s unfortunate. At least you have the next best thing (in my opinion)
The correctional facility I work at (1.) they do not supply cuffs (2.) they’ve banned the use of hinged cuffs. Which blows major ass.
That does suck and how does a correctional facility not let staff use cuffs at all? Wtf
those are great but what kinda of puch do you reccommend for them? im looking into:Holster Belt Clip Attachment - Handcuffs Holder
I recommend this case - www.handcuffwarehouse.com/bianchi-accumold-7334-open-handcuff-case/
I carry Smith and Wesson 100s and peerless. I prefer the smith's over peerless for weight purposes
Nice!
Yes Asp Are Expensive A long With Cases But The Cuffs To Go To I Love My Hinged Asp I won't use metal Cuffs like S&W Or Hiatt Or Peerless
I used to get my cuffs from the dollar store but they don't sell the medal ones there anymore
That sucks!
Real smith and Wesson chain cuffs have the key holes on the “same” side. They als have the same double lock as asp. Pearless is the one with the weird button
If we’re being honest, the side button isn’t all that hard.

N I love handcuffs
How do I get articulated handcuffs and how much is it?
If you are referring to hinged cuffs you can buy them on Amazon, eBay and many other places.

I clearly stated in the video that the silver ones are trash cheap fill ins for s&w model 100s.
I would love to have the Tuff Kuffs, but they are discontinued

If you have a chance to look at a REAL pare of S&W model 100, you'll know that each key holes are in the right position.
I have three pairs of real model 100s I was issued one of them. They all are absolute garbage compared to Asp Ultra cuffs.
You think asp are the best on the market
Real Smith and Wesson cuffs, like Peerless, have the keyholes on the same side.
You need to double lock them so the person being detained does not hurt themselves on them or make them tighter. It's all about legality
I know.
Doesn’t it help prevent nerve damage when you double lock them
@@ralphwiggum1982yes without double locking they can go tighter and that can realy damage your nerve
