If they could make the 300s with the lever locks that I would be the first to buy them. Love my hinged cuffs, love the lever locks. Especially when working in restrictive housing units.
Only problem I had with hinged cuffs was that some people didn't, don't have the flexibility to get their hand far enough behind them. Thanks for your view and comment. Stay Safe !!!
Hey John, that was a good deal you found on the leverlocks. You'll like them after you get accustom to them. Thanks for your view and comment. Stay Safe !!!
thanks for replying, i have had a pair of peerless handcuffs actually have the springs break and i could shake them and the ratchet would go through, i got new springs put in them their fine now ever happened to u guys?
I have used those cuffs and had them double lock while trying to put handcuffs on a prisoner my thunb hit the double lock buttion lucky i had a spare pare of peerless
+Wayne Godfrey Hi Wayne, nice bass in your picture. That is a valid point you made , that can and does happen. I personally carry a pair of Peerless and a pair of the older Smith&Wesson cuffs. Thanks for the comment and the view. Stay Safe !!!
connorwebb1234 Hey Connor thanks for subscribing to our channel. We'll be happy to do a video on that for you. It may take us a bit since this is our Police Job long work week. That would be a good topic for a video, show different techniques for cuffing and show the difference in using the M&P lever lock handcuffs. Keep checking back. Thanks again and Stay Safe.
+Survivial Preppers Hi Survivial Preppers, thanks for the view and questions. We have actually done two duty belt videos , one on my duty belt and one on Ofc. Bosco's. Since they are so drastically different. Thanks again and Stay Safe !!!
Unfortunately there is not a lot of uniformity in police gear, sometimes it depends on the area. For example in the area I work my department issues Glock 22 pistols in 40 caliber , but the county deputies carry 9mm Glock 19 pistols. The jail deputies carry 9mm Sig 320 pistols when they do transports. Our holsters and duty gear are also different. Some local police agencies like to carry the same duty firearm as the local county sheriff deputies for uniformity in case of a firefight. That is just one example. Be safe and thanks for the view. Bosco.
Hi Michael, that would be one awesome pair of cuffs for sure. I run into people who don't have the flexibility needed for me to use hinged cuffs on, so I mainly use chained cuffs. Thanks for your view and comment. Stay Safe !!!
i been using them in the field and i love them. but unfortunately the lever lock activates to easy during struggles. you need to practice and be aware of that when using them.
+jose lazo Hi Jose, thanks for the view and comment. You are very correct about these hand cuffs, since they don't operate like standard hand cuffs you need to be aware of their operating system and practice with them. Thanks again and Stay Safe !!!
for peerless handcuffs, on mine they came stiff which i liked! i dont like where they are loose i got a brand new pair of black chain peerless and their very loose is that good, will they break?
Monty, I prefer my handcuffs to have free movement, it makes for a quicker and safer application of the restraints .. The faster I can get the cuffs on , the safer it is for both of us. Most people if they are going to fight, start fighting when they know they are being placed in handcuffs. Looser handcuffs are well suited for a one handed speed cuffing technique. Thanks for your viewership Monty and your questions. Stay Safe !!!
Hi Monty, haven't heard from you in a while. Personally, I don't like the Safariland cuffs. Best way for me to describe them, is that they feel cheap to me. We got some at our department and I just do not care for them. I know they are about 40 percent lighter but they just don't feel right. They are also 17 percent larger than a standard handcuff. I'll stick with my old Peerless and backup pair of S&W's. We have not forgot about that handcuffing technique video you asked for. Thanks Monty and Stay Safe !!!
Hi Andy neither Bosco or I have had any issues. I haven't heard much feedback. I've heard (once or twice) of the levers being flipped locking the cuffs when trying to place them on a suspect. Thanks for your view and comment Andy , Stay Safe !!!
+Survivial Preppers Hey Preppers, I think what you are seeing is Ofc. Bosco's Taser. His agency has a mixture of the older M-26 Tasers and the smaller M-26 Taser. The M-26 does look like a handgun. Thanks for the question and the view. Stay Safe !!!
Hey Love the vids guys. For sure subscription from me. But I heard you mention that you had someone dura-coat your set of cuffs. I was wandering if he would be willing to help me out cause I have 3 sets of black cuffs I keep on my vest and they are rusted to hell and I don't have the money to replace them. I would be willing to pay a reasonable price if he would be help me out.
MSgt101 Hey Master Sgt. Thanks for the subscription. The duracoat has held up surprisingly well. Bosco works in a island community and the cuffs still look great. I could probably get my friend to do them . Price would probably depend on how much clean up (removing rust) it would take. Thanks again. Stay Safe !!
No Problem and The rust is minimal but is enough to show that they are rusting. I can clean them up before shipping I just want them able to be used because I keep them on my vest which I ware on Saturdays For training.
MSgt101 Let me check with my friend and see if he'd be interested and if so what the price would be. For privacy contact us at : Police10.8Talk@gmail.com. Stay Safe!!
I don't like ASP Cuffs. I have seen them break often in fights, training and in general use. They are not durable enough for me to carry them nor to recommend them to anyone. Our Department actually won't allow them to be used or carried by anyone because of that issue. Me I carry Peerless Hinged cuffs (2 sets) on my belt. In my bag I have a set of Safarland (formerly Hiatts) hinged and 3 sets of S&W Chains with 1 being oversized and the last set is leg shackles.
BigBlueMSP Hey BigBlue thanks for the information. I carry a pair of Smith@Wesson and a pair of Peerless both chained. With the hinged cuffs I run into folks who lack the flexibility needed for the hinged cuffs. I haven't been impressed with the Safariland quality, a couple of our newer officers have been issued those and they just don't feel right to me, they feel cheap.

The model 100P has the mechanism on the side.
I ordered the smith and wesson leverlocks on amazon for 25 dollars and free shipping I figured for three dollars more you can buy the lever locks

+Survivial Preppers Hey Prepper no problem at all. Thanks for the views and comments. Stay Safe !!!
Hello sir I don't live in US But I see it from the videos. Do all states in America use different equipment?

@@Police108Talk Thank you for the information, sir.
They need to make hinged lever lock style.
Hi Michael, that would be one awesome pair of cuffs for sure. I run into people who don't have the flexibility needed for me to use hinged cuffs on, so I mainly use chained cuffs. Thanks for your view and comment. Stay Safe !!!

Any more feedback on the lever lock in the field. I mean tried and tested? Thanks

I've heard there is a European brand made by Assa Abloy that has lever lock but their like unobtainable in here in the states due to export laws.
Love the police
why does officer bosco have two wepons on his duty belt
