F1 2010 will not be perfect, but there's always something that brings me back to play it.
Man this game will forever have a special place in my heart. I was 12 years old when it came out. Starting up the intro felt like the beginning of a new era and it still gives me goosebumps to this day. I still remember soaking up the whole vibe and atmosphere of the game. Great times.

I have a glitch for F1 2011, but I'm not sure whether it was widely known, or it was just me who found that. Back in F1 2011, when you left the pit lane (no matter whether it was a free practise, quali or during the race, no matter whether your tyres were old or new), your tyres were cold as stone, and you had to drive a whole lap to warm them up. However, you could press ESC after you've regained control over your car from AI after leaving the pit lane, and return to the race after a couple seconds, and your tyres were warmed up. It was massively overpowered in online league races, but it couldn't be used in offline mode - since when you press ESC in offline mode, you effectively pause the game. The trick I believe was that AI was taking control over your car in the background, and it forced your tyres into warmed up mode - which was giving a massive advantage. Undercut was already powerful, but with that - you could gain as much as 2-3 seconds!

as someone who never played F1 2010, I've no idea why it's so highly rated. Is it just nostalgia/rose tinted glasses, or does it actually do something that the later games don't do?
It's fun, good damage model, nice cars, good to play with a joystick.
F1 Games Playstation did all of this back in the day and has never changed and crashes in the pit lane on F1 23 as well. 😂😂😂

I remember I once spun out in one corner in south korea and glitched out of the track. As an 8 year old I thought I destroyed the game. Good memories

What happened in that race? only started following F1 videos and league racing from middle of F1 2012 and onwards. When Noble was starting to be at his prime in ARL

One of the better codies games...i still prefer F1 2020 and F1 2013 over this...maybe even 21
What they could do for future games is have both realistic stuff (punctures when going off-road, pit lane queues where you can't overlap with another car, no ghosting in general, thorough damage model, etc.) and a more casual mode (similar to how later games are that are more simplistic but play differently, even if dirty sometimes), with an option to change between the two for single-player or when hosting a lobby.

Am not saying it's a bad game, but F1 2010 isn't necessarily the best f1 game in the franchise, neither from Codies, or in comparison to historical games (GP4 and Championship Edition came out before, and had better aspects). Most, if not all of positive reviews abt F1 2010 are from the fact that there are many improvements in relation to the 2009 game (i agree with it), and also some nostalgia.

I would love to see a fresh playthrough of F1 Championship Edition. It was my first F1 game and honestly still has one of my favorite career modes.

That's my screenshot in the thumbnail lmfao, that kinda came from a glitch in itself, the reason I crashed full force like that was cause my tyres blew up at the race start, f1 2010 was horrible for having your tyres randomly blow out for no reason if you had tyre damage on full.
