A tribute to Stephen Hawking
"While there's life, there's hope."
A genius, the explorer of the universe has died on the birthday of Albert Einstein. A man of great humor and a great mind whose theories has shaped our universe as we know it. The greatest loss for a mankind.
I don't want to mourn his death, but to celebrate his life with this little video.
I love that moment in the movie, how Stephen passes on the knowledge and that the pen is yours now, it is time for a new generation.

May his soul ascend to the stars. I admired him very much. He was a true hero, battling for himself without hope or turning back, until remained nothing but his infinite mind trapped in a finite corporal cell. This is the true power of human spirit. I wish I could have just a bit of a will like him

As a Christian, it's very sad to see other Christians hate on Stephen Hawking because of his beliefs.
I believe all humans have an innate desire to seek the truth, we just go about it in different ways and we have no way of knowing which way is the right one. We just have to have faith that we're following the right path and do the best we can. And that is exactly what Stephen Hawking did. Through his pursuit of science he has done a lot to help humanity and inspire a new generation of curious minds.

I cried when I found out he died, and there's tears in my eyes as I write this. When I was a child, I was a big fan of George's Secret Key to the Universe, and I hoped to be an astronaut-I can't because of my eyes.
Then I grew up, and read A Brief History of Time. I made then some research on the author, and he became my hero: he was someone who fought against the world, against Charcot, against pneumonia...
To become a great man trapped in an ill body.
He was the most courageous man, the most clever... I always thought that one day, when I'll be an adult, I would go to Cambridge and meet him, I'm so sad I wouldn't...
Some times ago, I did a list of what I would like to see in Doctor Who 11. He was the top of it.
I would have loved so much so see him in it... to pay tribute to his genius...

Ninoshka I read the George books too and I’ll never forget going to the library and asking if you had a brief history of time in. The look on the librarian’s face said it all ‘What is God’s name is this 11 y/o wanting with a book by Stephen Hawking’. I too cried at his death and when at our end of term assembly they played a tribute to him I cried again. I’ll never ever forget him

I learned his death just before school, one of my friend told me "Oh, have you seen ? There's this guy you like... ehm... Stephen King... No... Hawking... he's dead !"
I just stood there, like if the sky fell on my head, because to me he was immortal. He survived Charcot, he survived pneumonia, how could he die of old age ?! How unfair is that ? I cried there, in front of my school, and no one understood. Not even my physics teacher.
I completely get that. So many of my classmates were posting on social media and were saying stuff like RIP Stephen Hawkin'. Urgh... I got into school feeling pretty drained and then had people going to me: did you here about the guy who died. Of course I did, I'd idolised this guy for years. I then asked them who he was to confirm what I already thought about them. Answers included: Some scientist, the one with a secret brother (I tried to explain to this girl how he didn't have one and fail) and he was the one who did the stuff in space. At least my physics teacher teared up a little when we all started debating the origins of the universe and told us all that we needed to do it at Uni.
That last shot got me. It feels like he's passing the torch off to a new generation of young minds, of young female minds no less.
You were a star, Professor Hawking. May your stardust reform itself into wondrous things. 😭🖖💔

While I never truly understood physics, Stephen Hawking Always graced me as a truly inspirational individual who had been through hell and gotten past it. Now that he's gone, we need to pass on his knowledge and never forget it. That is what makes the pen thing so beautiful, as he passes on his pursuit for knowledge. Rest in peace, mad scientist. You'll be missed

Ok, I cried so much. I’m disabled and Stephen Hawking is my hero. "is" and not "was" because he’s not really gone. He is still with us. His works and philosophy of life are still with us.
"Look what we made" is what I’m telling to myself every night, surrounded by the people I love, and happy to be alive.

A true inspiration of a man, and a truly human man. He had his flaws and embraced them the older he got, he is truly someone to be admired and respected. Bravo for a tear inducing tribute with a movie so wonderful in it's portrayal of Stephen Hawking. May he rest in peace and continue his journey through the universe in the life that is next.

Stephen Hawking would’ve been proud of you David. I’m sure he has seen this somehow or someway with a big smile on his face. He’s free now from his limitations and finally knows the secrets of the universe. What a moving tribute!
As long as their is a child who looks up at the sky in wonder, his legacy will live on. For as long as time ticks by, let us all feel the lack, for we are all made less, with this great loss to us all. The universe feels not quite so bright anymore.

And you are truly exceptional as a video maker to be able to craft such a touching tribute. The world has suffered a great loss but the impact of Hawking's work lives on in others. What a beautiful, emotional tribute to one of the most inspiring men to have ever lived. Hawking inspired us not just through his scientific achievement, but through his constant and visible struggle with disability, and it's impossible to overstate how much he did for the disabled community. Also, I've always admired Professor Hawking (even if I don't really grasp his work being a disaster in Science) but as a person, he's always been someone who I've looked up at. And I've associated Saturn with him since the first time I heard it, so this video is truly meaningful to me.
