  • Lavender Liqueur is pretty easy and delicious! I got this recipe from The Wee Pearl, a RUclips channel which is pretty awesome ( • The Manicured Nail | F... ). I don't have any creme de Violette so this is a great substitute. If you have lavender growing in your yard like I do, this is a fun option for using it.
    For the liqueur
I did 3Tbs of fresh lavender flowers but you could do dried if you wanted.
    3 Butterfly Pea Flowers
    1 cup of Vodka
    Let that infuse overnight
    add 1/2 cup sugar.
I boiled some more lavender in water to make a lavender simple syrup. which I added to the vodka. this dilutes the liqueur a bit which is fine because I started with 100 proof vodka.
    Aviation:
    2 oz Gin
    .5 oz Lemon
    .5 oz Lavender Liqueur
    .25 oz Maraschino
Stir or shake, serve in a coupe with a cherry.
    Cheers!

Beautiful! I would love to try this with fresh lavender. I’m so glad you made the liqueur! I have been experimenting with hydrosols lately myself- the trick to getting a more heavily scented flower water is to add A LOT of flowers, like equal parts flowers to water. My next video I will be making a all natural blue curaçao using the butterfly pea flower tea!
Great video as always, and thank you so much for the shoutout 💜

Thanks for the inspiration! Maybe I'll try the hydrosol again. Still a ton of lavender out there.

Bravo as always, Uncle Pete! You’re “stove top still” is a game changer. Also, the excessive lavender garnish was amazing, and I really like Taco. Cheers!

Definitely looks more ‘crisp’ stirred… never thought of doing that!

Lavender is the best in cocktails and is underrated! I harvest the buds and keep them in a jar. I use them for syrups, cakes and so on in the winter! Great video yuh got here. Stay cool!
    Cheers Pete!

I have a ton of it, I should do that too. Will they dry out in the jar?

They will! . I do however store them in smaller mason jars. Probably doesn’t matter but I have not had a problem with mold or loosing flavor this way! I flip the stem like you do with mint or kale and pull the buds off from the top going down. Usually over parchment for easy transfer and clean up! Fast that way. Anyway, I’m with you. I gotta lota lavender right now! ☀️

I had some lavender syrup that I added to cream when making whipped cream. It was delicious. Might be my favorite whipped cream for almost any dessert.
