2:05 - We've gone back and forth a few times but usually I've settled on...if it's craftable it's not lootable...so potions we stick to making along with smithed bars BUT to each their own with however they want to take this on!
This was great to watch. So fun to see other strategies. LINE ON MAP + MINING MONTAGE HAD ME HYPED

Every time i play survival mode, i always finish Mirak first. Bend Will is the best shout in the game. Telling a dragon to gtfo anytime or riding him to fast travel wherever you want is just so good. The questline is also pretty quick.

This challenge is how i actually normally play skyrim. I find that its actually much more interactive and keeps you on your toes.

Considering that a lot of enemies don't have armor and the critical damage is bugged the best choice if your making your own weapons is axes as the bleeding effect should work on enemies (i forget if its like the absorb health enchantment that doesn't work on dwemer robots)

I bet this mod is pretty cool. Mods just aren’t really my scene personally and my intent was to stick to an official Bethesda release.
@@DSQ_Jake The point of challenge runs is challenge Skyrim is not hard no matter how much you restricted yourself.
Idk if you did it for the video but you can just attack the ore with the pickaxe several times instead of going through the animation
+ the reason that dude nearly killed you towards the end is because maces ignore armour if you didn’t know
I didn’t know about the pickaxe thing, is it faster than the animation?

And i thnik in the Animation youbonly get 2 ore, for attaxking its 3 ore
Had to turn this off due to the music every time you went to the map. If it was only a few times I could deal, but it was every other minute of the video. too much.

You can get a soul gem by mining the light blue geodes in Blackreach
Do those have souls in them do you know?
I'm afraid not their empty when transferred to your inventory

you can mine soul gems down in blackreach
Very cool, blackreach is going to be terrifying if we make it that far
i think its way easy in skyrim to get things with crafting done then the other way around
no crafting no npc trading, except from dialog purase aka housing, horses and quest related
only living from things u kill and earn by paying the blood price
btw no spells legandary survial "only cooking allowed"
also thier are easy ways aournd this like "ring of namira" Vampire Were'wuff' heart feast marrage and get 1 free cooked meal per day
ahhhh Skyrim so many options for exploits..... but crafting is to easy .... sorry
I’m gonna push back on this a bit. Assuming you don’t do any exploits intentionally which I am not of course.(defeats the purpose of a challenge run) What makes this challenge difficult is that as you level up the enemies get stronger and you have to balance your skills around crafting and practical skills (one handed, block, heavy armor, etc.) What this ends up meaning is that as we go, we will get stronger slowly and the world will get more dangerous faster because of what we have to focus on crafting. If that makes sense? Appreciate the comment and thank you for watching
