Please show us more about your life at truck stops. And what do drivers do while waiting long periods of time to get loaded and unloaded? Thanks Jack for showing us the life of truck drivers and the sacrifices involved. I just had no idea!
Jack, thank you for your videos. Drivers like you are the life blood of the western world, the unsung heroes whom without we would all be cold, hungry and poor. ALl the best from the UK.
Well Jack welcome to my state you went right by my front door LOL I'm in Fairhaven Mass I'm following you for a while keep up the videos enjoy watching you stay safe out there
indianajacktrucker yeah the Schwend hopper bottom. I’m not sure if he noticed it. I asked him if he remembers that day but he said he doesn’t recall. He just thought it was neat seeing people show enough interest in his truck to use it in their RUclips vids.
just number 6. But a great chance to say thank you Jack for uploading this video again. Hope you also keep uploading on youtube!! Thanks again for another great video!
Right at the 15:00 mark, Jack, you caught that Triple J flatbed leaving the fuel island. Those guys are a small company located about 10 miles from my house here in PA. A good friend drives for them. They've got BIG kitty cats in those Pete's and can really run.
I'm local, and up until last week, liked it a lot. They changed the way we operate, and now we have to backhaul. It wouldn't be bad, except they way they do it is to book a backhaul load AFTER we leave out for the day. So now we went from local home nightly, to not knowing each day when we leave IF we'll get home or not.
I agree with you on the truck stops, what's really frustrating is that you plan your route to a rest stop and they are closed from four and half hours out...
I would have spotted for ya, but you didn't wait until after I finished my "hot pocket" breakfast, LoL... Maryland is a nice state. If your going on the PA turnpike get ready for a rough ride. It's hard to believe they can charge what they do for that forsaken road way.
3:42 "Foam is my friend" - the combination of the smile, the cap, the glasses, the beard, the head tilt, I was thinking I was watching Mythbusters for just a moment. I'd love to see a full Adam Savage impression. Thumbs up, as usual for IJT. Also, how many miles does Big Red have now?
The many, mainly foreign, drivers that don't avail themselves of the excellent 'routier' restaurants here in France always struggle for parking at the autoroute service areas. And that is where we see them, just like you showed, parked along the sides of the entry and exit roads. Not satisfactory, either from a safety or comfort point of view. Wouldn't catch me doing that Jack, I like the 'restos' too much. ;-)
Your right about that place, I used to go there... Now my boss has me going to the west coast only, because most of his drivers don't have the patience for it...
Jack..at 5:55 mark..there is a rig up ahead in the right lane..my eye sight is poor but it appears that the trailer has an open door..or is missing a door...?
There’s a reason they don’t want you picking up early. Maybe they need until the afternoon to complete the order, that’s why it took 2 1/2 hours to load you. If you’d have got there at 2:30 it would have taken 30 minutes.
Jack I have an idea that may help your channel attract more people. If there is a way you could put the road you are currently on in the corner of the screen I think that would be a very useful addition for people following your travels.
I've been following your vids for a few years now, but just now it occurs to me that I never saw Semi Combinations. Since you haul foam here it reminded me we have Combi's specially for volume transport. Are they prohibited?
When exactly did you make it to CT? i could've sworn i saw your truck around a week or more ago but didn't think it was you since you don't like the northeast.
Cross Country to I-84 and I-81 then I-90 into Auburn/Worcester MA.. You got about 10 miles on I-90. That's all to tolls, I think.. Overall, a little more fuel... Maybe.. Yea.. an EZ Pass wouldn't hurt..
Hi Jack I need some advice ive been watchining your videos long time now,and im thinking of driving truck now im unemployed now for bout 5 years, and im diabetic 2,but not stopin me so far,i found a school to goto near me and its 4wks,credited one,im 56 5'5" tall and muscular built, and I live with my mother and that's the problem I take care of her take her store and stuff,i like the truck I watch trucks go down the road every day at the wal mart sstore I don't like the livestock trailers though cause I know where their goin, and I know about the tankers to don't like them,ha,i studied for the cdl endorsement before and didn't follow it through so now im kinda serious and been watchin all the videos on youtube about trucks and people driving them and the accidents also, but id like your advice im interested in driving regional and maybe over the road to start,so let me know what you think and give me a reply back when ya can, love the videos best ive seen on youtube so far, later Jack
I don't understand why the truck stops don't have food courts like the malls do. That way the truckers would be able to chose what they want instead of always eating the heavy greasy stuff with little opportunity to eat proper veggies and fruit if they want it. A reasonable food court with a good salad bar.
Hi Jack, that's too bad. I haven't taken a survey, but I would be willing to bet that truckers have some of the worst diets out there, mostly due to always being in a rush to get somewhere else, so they pick the fast easy stuff. Some one's gotta come up with some fast healthy food.
Scott Hibbard, good point, retired trucker I am, carried Bar - B - Que, ( single Hibachi ) for 30 years, best food is what you cook yourself. All the Best.
jack did 4 pull-up,s before gettin-in-------- jack--- ever get to that skyway bridge------ its in your neck of the woods---- well just before tampa---- i heard steep grade before goin over the other-side------- drive-safe---- :-)
No reversing camera? Or is he just not showing us that view? Another thing, I think he owns that trailer right? But earlier videos when he went to California, he was dropping and picking up trailers if I'm not mistaken? How does that work for the owners in regards to registration, insurance and maintenance? Must be a nightmare; also, some of those yards, wouldn't it be easy to "acquire" a trailer if you were so inclined?
When you're running up 95 you take it all the way up to the GW Bridge. Just before the bridge you get over to 17 North. You take that about 20 miles then get on 287 East. That will take you back towards 95 and you don't have to pay $105 to get over the George Washington
I hated Mass...all the low bridges and tight roads...short freeway ramps...no thanks... good luck...I did luck out though, my load was hollow plastic balls for KMart.. it only weighed 8000 lbs fully loaded :)

That fast motion with accompanying music around the 14:00 mark was worth the price of admission. Drive safe out there.
Super video Jack! Thanks much for bringing us along. Safe travels.
Please show us more about your life at truck stops. And what do drivers do while waiting long periods of time to get loaded and unloaded? Thanks Jack for showing us the life of truck drivers and the sacrifices involved. I just had no idea!

+Noe Esqueda the one that says Shwend on the side? Do you know if he noticed my truck. He kind of slowed down so I wasn't sure.
indianajacktrucker yeah the Schwend hopper bottom. I’m not sure if he noticed it. I asked him if he remembers that day but he said he doesn’t recall. He just thought it was neat seeing people show enough interest in his truck to use it in their RUclips vids.

+Trucker316 how are you liking your new career? Didn't you come off the road?
I'm local, and up until last week, liked it a lot. They changed the way we operate, and now we have to backhaul. It wouldn't be bad, except they way they do it is to book a backhaul load AFTER we leave out for the day. Great vid Jack! A little farther north and you'll be in my territory (Maine). It's a shame the tolls are so frequent and high up in the northeast.
+Crusty Ol' Sergeant I have friends that live in Maine that wanted me to come visit. There are no loads going in or out of Maine.
Great video . . .
11:42 "Just stopped to stretch my legs a bit." *Trucker Translation:* "I had to pee." 😊
I agree with you on the truck stops, what's really frustrating is that you plan your route to a rest stop and they are closed from four and half hours out...
200 bucks for toll? pfft, very nice video thnx Jack.
I would have spotted for ya, but you didn't wait until after I finished my "hot pocket" breakfast, LoL...

I'm originally from Easton Massachusetts but now live in Ocala Florida. I was just in Tampa Saturday 09/30th. Sorry I missed ya, maybe next time.

The "cess-pool" of I95...LOL...
The good old Maryland House. 20 mins from my house. That is where I use to park my truck when I came home for the weekend. Not otr anymore thank god.
+Primal Scream they have really fixed it up pretty nice. I hope you are glad being off the road.
Jack I have an idea that may help your channel attract more people. If there is a way you could put the road you are currently on in the corner of the screen I think that would be a very useful addition for people following your travels.
you would be a great instructor you just seem so down to earth... but is that trucks back door open or gone at 5:55..
Jack, I noticed a trailer you were following had one of his doors missing or open. Do you see that much?
The East Coast is WIDELY known As a rolling truck show! BTW, how much did that load weigh out to?
O-400 , must be the infamous Prostate Alarm clock kicking in eh?
You were so close to my house in North jersey, you could have stopped in for coffee. Maybe next time.
You're clear from my angle!
Nice east coast trip with pretty light load.
I've been following your vids for a few years now, but just now it occurs to me that I never saw Semi Combinations. Since you haul foam here it reminded me we have Combi's specially for volume transport. Are they prohibited?
Our PG&E utilities from San Francisco were in Florida....
nice Video Indiana Jack. pilot Flying J is a nice truck stop. how do you like being a truck driver for your new company?
+Adam Parks I am really happy working with Traveloko.

NJ turnpike sucks, I did it on a motorcycle towing a trailer, $26.50 from elizabeth to south Jersey.
When are you going to put up the owner op half of the Knight Transportation video?
What type of cameras and exterior mounts are you using?
When exactly did you make it to CT? i could've sworn i saw your truck around a week or more ago but didn't think it was you since you don't like the northeast.

+SpiritBear12 some of them are trying to serve more healthy foods. But for the most part they all are all switching to fast food.
It’s because it’s all artificial, it lasts longer than fresh food and cheap
Hi Jack, that's too bad. I haven't taken a survey, but I would be willing to bet that truckers have some of the worst diets out there, mostly due to always being in a rush to get somewhere else, so they pick the fast easy stuff. Some one's gotta come up with some fast healthy food.
I know, it's a sad fact.
Cook gourmet meals on the engine as you drive!
The Very Tip of Massachusetts is Provincetown?.?
I think truck stops should have grills placed around the parking lot like they do at public parks.
Scott Hibbard, good point, retired trucker I am, carried Bar - B - Que, ( single Hibachi ) for 30 years, best food is what you cook yourself. All the Best.
So the idiots can burn up the trucks and facilities, NOT !

Have you ever thought of putting the date or episode numbers in your titles? It would be easier to follow them in order that way.
