Unbelievable greatness the Harlem Globetrotters!
In the 50s and 60s US TV made you believe that black artists were treated like whites , but outside the tv studio things were different in US . When the globetrotters came to PR in 1968 they stayed in the same 5 stars hotel where white Tourists were.No segregation here.No discrimination in our Island.
Much respect!
No matter how well they were treated ... it was still .. Puerto Rico. Enough said. Case closed.
@@tonypanzarella9387 Haha triggered!
I see Curly Neal in this one too
Thanks for sharing
RIP Curly Neal!!!
I like the lady introducing the show...
Tim Conway, was the only one to score on the Globetrotters. Way to go Tim!
RIP Meadowlark Lemon
This is great! Way way back in the day. There were a few years then, that people were moving forward with compassion but then something happened 😮
0:54 MEL BROOKS!!!
Not sure what's funnier, the game or the audience.
My basket trainer played in this team
With Hollywood Palace ?😂
0:02 Was That Carol Burnett?
No.
I didn't know that some white player had played with the GT!
All
This pissed me off so bad😡😡😡
Then having the name McClelland should send you over the edge. 😝😁😝😁😝
What happened
Well Nikita, it's better than getting pissed on! I'll leave now! Booty hoodie!
Connie Hawkins!!!
RIP Curly Neal!
I had a good friend and I was in the army if his father was a Harlem Globetrotter in the sixties and seventies
wow. he might be in this video.
reelblack , yes he just might be my buddy used to show us his picture all the time in his Globetrotters uniform.
Mel Brooks is probably the only one still living from this episode.
Impressive, considering he was 2,000 years old back then. @1:00
@@kristenchaffee4763 you're right 🤣🤣🤣
Wow the age of them. This really puts it in perspective.
Crazy how different times the era was compare to now?
It was great to see my Brother Bobby Joe Mason get tackled by the Fugative David Jansen….lol.
David Janssen was reported to have smoked FOUR packs of cigarettes a day. I was always skeptical, but if you look at him in this clip he can barely breathe after the first minute!

Do you think Harlem Goalttrotter could beat a professional team today?
Was this the team playing against the PRC National team in Hungary, in 1960?
