    That plug looks like it's being cast 100 yards. What size pole what test line are being used here?

      Rod is a century SS1327 fast action with a VS275. The lure weighs about 3.25oz

    close up of rod action to make the lure dance is what was needed.

      Pretty simple - think of small side to side sweeps or “sideways jigs” with short pause and allowing slack between each short sweep (the pause is key to get it to change direction and “walk the dog”). He is teaching you here and saying you can change the sweeps in all kinds of ways...faster...longer...shorter and different pauses.
      Now watch him again and he is moving his rod very slightly sideways with the rod at his waist. Watch it 3 or 4 times and he makes more and more sense. this guy is “the man” and his channel is outflow fishing I think. He thinks like a fish!

    Dave Anderson talks about the different actions that a spook plug can do but he does not give you any information regarding how to fish the plug to get these different actions?

    If you build your own, they go side to side better and won't foul.

    Fishing a surf rod like a spinning rod is back breaking AF. I fish a tide or even 2 in a night. Techniques that conserve energy and constant reduction of weight of gear is key to fishing endurance and comfortably. You do this for an hour and catch fish .....ya done, but hey .....ya caught fish.

      Richmond Daque it's not what you must use but what you're comfortable using. Everyone is different. Find what best suits you depending on what setup you're using

    you know why I like John Skinners videos ? because hes a working man kinda fisherman , he fishes with affordable stuff ,the first thing i see in this video is $$$$ 1,000 .00 fishing pole and reel , most people 90 % can not afford a VS or zeebass , or century rod , I feel like I have to have this stuff to fish after watching this , I fished for years with my Diawai poles and penn reels . maybe im just jealouse , most likely ...

      I agree man. John Skinner is actually catching fish while he is telling you how to use the plug. So you can see his methods work.

      I also like how Zeno does his videos. He gets out into the water and demonstrates his strategies.

      John skinner uses a $850 vs200 and Lamiglas GSB in half his videos and a $700 Penn Torque in others lol...I'm not sure if you read SJ, but one of Dave's main styles of fishing is night fishing in a wet suit swimming out to rocks fishing boulder fields....same as John Skinner....If you want to be successful when you take it to that level where your reel is constantly submerged, you're pretty much looking at a setup north of a grand easy if you want a true waterproof reel.

      Everyone I met fishing always mention Skinner this Skinner that. 🤣 Dude just go out and fish. As for gears who cares if the other guy buys expensive stuff. He can afford it and you can't. Mind your business stop checking dudes out and wet some line.

      Chunky Father it's a Lemire Sr. Wavejammer. It's a $25 plug anyways...I've got a white and a yellow and they have the most insane action

  • @DanEvan
    @DanEvan 6 лет назад +1
