We,ve just bought our first caravan and booked our first week away. Your tips are priceless. Were learning stuff all the time and are so grateful for all the advice and tips
Mate these are really handy tips and it makes me think we didn’t quite get the subject point. We are using serviced pitches for the first time this year so it’s a great idea to check with the site on the location of the service points. You’re like me on checking arrival and making sure it works with the arrival time. Cheers for sharing mate, very useful!
Hi Aaron & Vicky, I thought I was a bit off the lines but near enough 😂 Serviced pitches are the future, you will never go back! 🤔 Thanks for comments and watching, Cheers mate
great tips !! and they should ensure a trouble free holiday, one tip i was given was when you have loaded the caravan correctly with the nose wieght guage take a pic of the inside so when reloading you can look at it to see where things go to avoid the caravan misbehaving on the journey.
I have heard of taking pictures of the nose weight so you have a time/date stamp for insurance purposes if anything happens. Might start doing that. Thanks for comments and watching.
Hi Colin, We went to a Haven site once and the service point was almost in the next field 🤣 Always checked from then on. Thanks for comments and watching, Martin
Have booked our very first fully serviced pitch this year. Was surprised seeing some videos on how far away the waste and water can be! We think we've bought more than we need but some of them seem to go on forever! Fingers crossed we'll have enough!
To be fair we only had the issue on 1 or 2 sites but still worth checking. Some sites have different opinions of what ‘serviced’ means 🤣 Thanks for comments and watching
Taking the stuff you REALLY need, good point Martin.! We're the worst for "it'll come in handy" but end up lugging about stuff you'll never need for a particular trip. If it's going to be raining, in November, the BBQ can stay in the spare room rather than the front locker 😁 Cheers for this one. Martin & Jo.
Hi Martin, some great tips, I'll add them to my pre caravan travel checklist, it's amazing how much unused stuff we took out of our MH when we emptied it the other week 👍
Useful tips Martin. We've been caught out with a short hose on a serviced pitch and had to use the aquaroll that we shouldn't have packed ;) We'll be booking pubs once we're out and about - we do it for English Heritage. Pete & Kaz 😀👍😀👍
Good thinking Martin. Just take what you need is a biggy. Something we have been careful about for a long time. Checking pubs ? outrageous 🤣🤣 Nice one !! 🚐 Trev n Sue
Hi Trev & Sue, yes no point lugging all the stuff you don’t need up and down the country. Always need a good pub close by...obviously for the food! Thanks for the support, stay safe, Martin
The tip about checking the lights etc the day before a trip is a good one. It's always a concern when I connect up to my 24 year old Eriba Pop Top as the electrics are a tad basic to say the least.Cheers.
Have you got a detailed video on loading your car / caravan? What items / fixtures in your caravan do you remove or put somewhere else? Where do you carry your camping chairs, awning furniture?
Great tips Martin as we have been caught out once in Wales with the fresh water pipe but luckily I hired one of them for a tenner, we used to pack the car up with all the food we need but now google superstore near site then once set-up nip out for goodies 😀 Great vlog as always 👍
Hi Tony, We have 15mtrs of fresh water pipe and you think that would be enough at any site but some have been further! I am trying to reduce the amount of consumables we take with us, the boot is usually full. Will be trying your method of getting supplies when you are set up. Thanks for the support as always.

Glad the vlogs are of help, welcome to caravanning! Enjoy your first trip away 😊
@@TheCaravanNut fully agree, we are first timers and your videos are really helpful. Thanks.

Great tips. I think, if you need waste pipe or water hose longer than 6m, then it's not a service pitch. Just my thought's
I agree Mark, to be fair it's only happened once but I still check. Thanks for comments and watching
Some great tips, Martin 👍👍
Thanks for watching 😊
Another very good vlog and useful . Thank you
Thanks for taking the time to watch 😊
Great tips especially about checking lights the day before. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, yes like to try and save time on travel day to get the driving done 🙂
Great tips Martin, don’t often have Fully Serviced Pitch, hose and waste distance never thought of it before.
Hi Colin, We went to a Haven site once and the service point was almost in the next field 🤣 Always checked from then on. Thanks for comments and watching, Martin
Very good tips and different from the other contributors x
Yes it’s difficult when you are all doing the same topic, I try not to think of the obvious. Thanks for watching

We had a clear out and the amount of stuff we didn’t use or need was surprising. It all mounts up to weight!
Thanks for comments and watching, Martin

Hi Andrew, Stuff just accumulates over the years and it's good to have a clear out every now and then. cheers Martin
Great tips!
cheers Bob

Yes always best to check with the site before you leave, looking forward to sitting in a pub 🤔🍺🙂🍺
@@TheCaravanNut thinking the sitting outside a pub is just a few days away now 🍻
Fab top tips 👍
Cheers Kev, hope you are well.
Great tips yet again

I still give it a quick walk round check before leaving but don't want to be changing bulbs or climbing under the van! Thanks for watching
Some very good tips 👍 think everyone takes thing they done use 🤦🏼♀️🤷♀️
Yes think we are guilty of taking too much stuff! Thanks for watching

Good tips there Martin 😷👍
Cheers Paul, Pubs possibly higher up the list!
Great tips very informative , especially only taking what you need , so many of us overpack and end up not using any of it 👍
Thanks for watching, Its surprising how much stuff you can collect over the years that you don't use!
Some good stuff there 👍
Thanks for watching 🙂
