Spot on investing philosophy and a must listen. I’ve been a big fan of Joseph Shaposhnik for years and found his TCW mutual fund over a decade ago when he first came on the scene with his own fund. The fund manages to consistently (and meaningfully) outperform year after year while being grounded in fundamental investing principles. I’ve been an investor in his fund ever since and looking forward to seeing what he does with his new ETF.

Wise words. Too often investors take credit for outcomes that were not predictable (except in hindsight)

Outstanding interview. It was like listening to an articulate mini-course on fundamental investing principles. Excellent questions also.

This was a good strategy for low rates as he bought bond proxy’s given low business risk. Now with 30 year same as 2007 yet the avg PE of the stocks vs 2007 2X what they were then a decade of low single digit return is likely.
