Loving me through the tears and frustration I feel when I can't push myself hard anymore. There's a certain rage inside that makes you refuse to yield. For my late first husband, it was his love that made him refuse to yield until the very end.

Yes, it all seems so sad. We were used to seeing the previous generation of royals living full lives until their late 90s and I expected that Charles would do the same. In the end, they are human just like us and can't escape the reality of any illness befalling them.

As a Dutch I followed the British Royals for a long time. The King wasn't my favorite in the period of his marriage with the late Princess Diana. But over the years when I saw him with Queen Camilla, I more more respect him. Finally became King, and now struggling with cancer. Watching him on D-day I told myself he is more ill than they want us to believe. I HOPE he will take the right decision and started a co-regentship with the prince of Wales. Who is the perfect combination of his father and late mother. The King can slow down and enjoy his life with his Queen & his grandchildren. He deserved it to have some beautiful years.
Hello Shanta, as everyone one should be aware of by now, chemo therapy absolutely wipes one out - they are tired and have no energy and can lose their desire for food. I personally think that King Charles is fulfilling out his duties as he was brought up/groomed to do. He is definitely doing too much and needs to rest. Certainly understandable why he wants to maintain his status after waiting so long to achieve it. He just needs to do less, as I am fairly certain his medical team is advising. The Trooping of the Colours may be his last official appearance for a while 10:40 so he can rest. I admire the King and happy that he is a lover of nature. He must be a most interesting gentleman with whom to converse on the subject. Queen Camilla is afraid for him. She does not want to lose him. They could have many years of happiness together if he will listen to what he is being told and knows. He can hold the throne and still back off a bit.
I shook hands with KC3 on 15 Sept. 2023. I said online and in person that he seemed frail, and was told, "Rubbish". As an old woman and having been a nurse I recognise when someone is "failing" , as they say here, it means they have the mark of the final days on them. How very sad.

I think Charles is determined to do whatever it takes to “make his parents proud” albeit posthumously. He looks very good all things considered, very happy to be out and about doing what he feels is most important to uphold the Monarchy. In that respect, it’s very admirable, and if more activity and involvement in duties is what he needs to keep his spirits up and stay strong then that’s his choice.
IMO I think Charles is a spiritual as well as religious. He is very grounded spiritually he gets pleasure from walking in Scotland and he likes hedge laying and trees. I think he is willing to sacrifice his health to give Catherine a chance to recover.
He needs to go to Balmoral and stay there all summer. Queen E used to spend 4 months up there every year, July till October and get a good rest. Hopefully after the Trooping he will take a long break.

He appears to be doing very well out and about, chatting and laughing with people and it obviously provides a distraction from his physical challenges. Drs are not Gods and what they think are good suggestions may not necessarily be what’s best for a patient as a whole person. Resting and being left out of things could very well make him incredibly depressed and be counter productive. Quality of life is usually preferable to quantity so he’s living his life as fully as possible for as long as possible no doubt
I can tell you there is something really big going down behind the scenes.Certain people are being watched ,and they have nearly got there Believe me I think this might be the end of what’s going on over in the USA.So be patient.A lot of specialist people are working on it.Thats why Catherine is still away and why the King is working hard..He’s going in a carriage for his safety. As there was an incident at the Palace recently that ended in an arrest.Its not been in the papers as it’s to do with the investigation.But it was extremely serious.The person will be in jail for a very long time.
I didn’t realize King Charles was having chemo, I didn’t think the palace had actually said what treatment he was receiving, for whatever reason I was under the impression he was undergoing radiotherapy. 70 years is a long time to wait so it’s understandable the King feels he wants more time. Even if William becomes the Prince Regent, Charles would still technically be the King. IDK when indoors whether they have air bacterial removal machines in place. There is no set answer to how the body reacts to whatever treatment you are having. What most non sufferers don't realise is that treatment is tailored to your particular cancer, the surgery if any that you needed and of course blood tests to make sure that whatever drugs are appropriate your body is able to tolerate them. As a former breast cancer patient I became aware of the tailored nature of treatment and even once started the position is monitored and adjusted as the experts feel necessary. On top of that there is no set reaction to drugs hence some look well , as I did, while others are literally as sick as a dog even when on identical plans. As I was told "we can't cure cancer" meaning we respond and adjust treatment as it changes .
This was already showing in a reading months ago (earlier than April, maybe around February or March, I don't remember), also that Camilla was very frustrated about it.
There's a difference between cancer treatments for those who have cancer and those getting preventative treatment. Plus age makes a big difference in recovery.
I think that now Catherine is ill it will be hard to turn things over to William now. He has Catherine to attend to and the kids so that being King now would be such a burden. It will probably happen sooner than later but the responsibility will be enormous. I admire all the top working Royals and for anyone to think it is an easy job…I certainly would not want it. I have been saying for some time now that Charles does not like the chemo treatments because of the after-effects. He thinks they're not doing the job the way they should and they are out of alternative options. I believe that they have said that there's nothing more that they can do for him so just go and live your life as you see fit for the time you have left.(I'm thinking months not years). That's what they told us about my MIL. It was 34 months.
Maybe KC is trying to give PW & PC more time b4 they have all the responsibility. PC is still having treatment and the children are small + the problem relatives 🤡👹to deal with...wishing them all good health 👍

I have been worried about the amount of work he is carrying out. When he went to the D day anniversary he had a round of chemo before he went and when he returned home he had to have another one, not that same day but a couple of days after. It’s good he is trying to do his duty but he is carrying out too many and he is looking thinner, many say he’s looking healthier but I beg to differ. There’s another thing I don’t think they have thought of, that princess Catherine is still off and I personally think she will not be back until at least November I have asked this of my pendulum and that was the answer I received. The trouble is with Charles doing all of these things it is making Catherine look like she’s not trying very hard to resume her duties and I’m afraid it might make her return too soon. Let’s hope Charles takes some rest Camilla should tie him to the bed 🤣😉

It seems increasingly clear that there was a “soft regency” for Charles at the end of the late Queen’s reign so I wouldn’t be surprised to see something similar with William. I suspect a transition has already started behind the scenes. I’m sad for the King but that’s life & fate I guess?
I think Charles is determined to do whatever it takes to “make his parents proud” albeit posthumously. He looks very good all things considered, very happy to be out and about doing what he feels is most important to uphold the Monarchy. In that respect, it’s very admirable, and if more activity and involvement in duties is what he needs to keep his spirits up and stay strong then that’s his choice.
Maybe family needs to impress upon him how much they love him, they want him in their lives for a long time. Maybe their love will help him decide.
I feel Charles is like the big old fruit tree . One last year of abundance of fruit then fades very quickly after that. ☹️😔

IMO I think Charles is a spiritual as well as religious. He is very grounded spiritually he gets pleasure from walking in Scotland and he likes hedge laying and trees. I think he is willing to sacrifice his health to give Catherine a chance to recover.
He needs to go to Balmoral and stay there all summer. Queen E used to spend 4 months up there every year, July till October and get a good rest. Hopefully after the Trooping he will take a long break.
Over her years that is.probably about 8 years in total.
I personally don't think that he will return from summer break in Balmoral. He loves nature, and apart from highgrove, i think this is where his heart lies. Not that I'm wishing that, just feel it may be the way.
I think Charles is in the mindset that my mum carried on and so will I I hope he is not shortening his life span he lives a bit too much in the past and he does not take advice very well but he never has .

As far as I'm aware King Charles is anti-chemo & has always used homeopathy for any illness. He even has a homeopathy doctor. So he's taken that path whether it works or not. Its his choice. I agree that he is definitely not looking well but he is keeping calm & carrying on!
When King Charles announced his cancer Tom Bower said in an interview the king wouldn’t have chemo as he didn’t believe in it and would go down the homeopathic route

He appears to be doing very well out and about, chatting and laughing with people and it obviously provides a distraction from his physical challenges. Drs are not Gods and what they think are good suggestions may not necessarily be what’s best for a patient as a whole person. Resting and being left out of things could very well make him incredibly depressed and be counter productive. Quality of life is usually preferable to quantity so he’s living his life as fully as possible for as long as possible no doubt
I can tell you there is something really big going down behind the scenes.Certain people are being watched ,and they have nearly got there Believe me I think this might be the end of what’s going on over in the USA.So be patient.A lot of specialist people are working on it.Thats why Catherine is still away and why the King is working hard..He’s going in a carriage for his safety. As there was an incident at the Palace recently that ended in an arrest.Its not been in the papers as it’s to do with the investigation.But it was extremely serious.The person will be in jail for a very long time.

I didn’t realize King Charles was having chemo, I didn’t think the palace had actually said what treatment he was receiving, for whatever reason I was under the impression he was undergoing radiotherapy. They will go to Balmoral straight after trooping the colours so hopefully that will give him a rest.
The King is attending investitures of the Order of the Garter at St George's Chapel in Windsor, after Trooping Ceremony....maybe a brief appearance by Catherine there, as less public than the Ceremony.😊
Prince William's birthday is June 21st. I remember a reading you did months ago, Shanta, that said that he would be the Regent or King by his birthday. As you said; Prince William might very well be a soft Regent already, which I think is true, but I wondered if maybe King Charles will be persuaded to officially announce that at Trooping or on Prince William's birthday, to make it an official regency. Is it possible that KC’s cancer is more advanced then the public is told and time is of the essence for his reign. So sad if that is a possibility.
70 years is a long time to wait so it’s understandable the King feels he wants more time.
Even if William becomes the Prince Regent, Charles would still technically be the King.

The Buckingham Palace statement was a carefully worded dodge. It didn’t really say he was better. It said the doctors were “encouraged” but that his treatment would continue. We don’t need to know the specifics. To me, King Charges looks unwell.

Chemo, radiotherapy & immunotherapy all lower one’s immunity to this day. As it’s the Northern Hemisphere’s summer there wouldn’t be as many “germs around”, but it’s still very concerning. I know these days one can apply a “stay on hand sanitiser”, which puts an invisible barrier in place for all the hand shaking till yr hands are washed but yr still in close proximity to other people whilst doing that. IDK when indoors whether they have air bacterial removal machines in place. It does lower immunity, but I believe it gradually builds back up between treatments.
There is no set answer to how the body reacts to whatever treatment you are having. What most non sufferers don't realise is that treatment is tailored to your particular cancer, the surgery if any that you needed and of course blood tests to make sure that whatever drugs are appropriate your body is able to tolerate them. As a former breast cancer patient I became aware of the tailored nature of treatment and even once started the position is monitored and adjusted as the experts feel necessary. On top of that there is no set reaction to drugs hence some look well , as I did, while others are literally as sick as a dog even when on identical plans. As I was told "we can't cure cancer" meaning we respond and adjust treatment as it changes .
This was already showing in a reading months ago (earlier than April, maybe around February or March, I don't remember), also that Camilla was very frustrated about it.
There's a difference between cancer treatments for those who have cancer and those getting preventative treatment. Plus age makes a big difference in recovery.

I think that now Catherine is ill it will be hard to turn things over to William now. He has Catherine to attend to and the kids so that being King now would be such a burden. It will probably happen sooner than later but the responsibility will be enormous. I admire all the top working Royals and for anyone to think it is an easy job…I certainly would not want it. To go on at all costs under such scrutiny ….no thanks. Hope God gives William all the strength he needs to not throw in the towel. Imo, I think he has the willpower and energy to keep going and he will do so until such time that he can't. That’s the point, he is enjoying his life, in his own way and on his terms. If he feels physically well enough to participate in things, it will be beneficial to his frame of mind, feelings of self worth and normality.
The King needs to get away from it all and some more rest here in Aberdeenshire but he's utterly driven and determined. I have been saying for some time now that Charles does not like the chemo treatments because of the after-effects. He thinks they're not doing the job the way they should and they are out of alternative options. I believe that they have said that there's nothing more that they can do for him so just go and live your life as you see fit for the time you have left.(I'm thinking months not years). That's what they told us about my MIL. It was 34 months.

I have been worried about the amount of work he is carrying out. When he went to the D day anniversary he had a round of chemo before he went and when he returned home he had to have another one, not that same day but a couple of days after.
It’s good he is trying to do his duty but he is carrying out too many and he is looking thinner, many say he’s looking healthier but I beg to differ.
There’s another thing I don’t think they have thought of, that princess Catherine is still off and I personally think she will not be back until at least November I have asked this of my pendulum and that was the answer I received. The trouble is with Charles doing all of these things it is making Catherine look like she’s not trying very hard to resume her duties and I’m afraid it might make her return too soon.

If charles is having chemo this long why no hair loss and chemo wipes a person out he would go onto travel to France no matter how stubborn he is. In my opinion I think the king has had as much treatment but nothing going to stop the cancer .so he's doing everything he can while he can as long as he can just like the Queen did.
Chemo does not always result in hair loss. My late father never lost his hair, even after two cycles of chemo.
Not all types of chemo Kate you loose hair. Y first 4 years of chemo, lost my hair 6 times. These last 4 years of treatment, hair is still here.
The king will never retire. It's not a job It's a commitment and promis to God in a sanctified Abbey. He might pass some of his work to others but retire no.

I am feeling that the King feels he will look like a failure if he steps aside. He fears being remmembered as a short-lived monarch. He wants to make an impact, make some beneficial changes for the people. The spirit may be strong but the body is subject to the frailities of the flesh. I wonder if he will survive the year. Charles also doesn't want to burden William with too many duties while his wife is battling cancer.
