i noticed the struck at my broadband connection. i had to share my broadband connection to wireless network connection 2 (i.e. the connection created through cmd)and everything was fine. my mobile device now sharing the internet of my laptop. do not share LAN otherwise u will keep on beating around the bushes !!! hope this will help somebody. Kishan Thapa. i hav started the hostednetwork. but when i check it in the task bar it shows "No Network access" in the ssid in hav created. what can i do...? in ur network and sharing center it shows wifi hotspot but in mine it shows wireless network connection.

the only hidden secret is not only downloading the 2 softwares like Bluestacks and MYWifiRouter, be sure to install plug the device like usb wifi or pocketwifi to your pc, and thats it...

why is it when i paste the "netsh wlan start hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=wifi key=123456789" and press enter, it states that "The hosted network couldn't be started.

keshier magdasdas maybe you have to enable the network in control panel,try the link 'change adapter settings',then right click on your network icon and click enable...hope this helps....

Um, my laptop doesn't show the opened hotspot, even though the "command window" says that the hosted network has started. I can't find it !! What am I doing wrong....

Praveen, this is because you use DHCP in your phone. Select show advanced options inside when you choose the wifi connection and under DHCP, select static then follow the steps indicated in the video.

Hi bro, I can't take screenshots on my android but I will try to explain. Well if I understand the two commands and the configuration in laptop is ok (if it isn't let me know). When you choose the SSID (defined in the netsh command), the first dialog on the android is put the password (defined in the netsh command too), but there are two more options that you can use, the first is Show password (for see the password instead of the dots) and the second option is Show advance options, the last is that you must be marked. This extend your dialog windows, after the IP configuration there are a DHCP as the default option, mark over this and choose Static. Then appears IP address type here the IP similar as that you configured in the Wifi laptop (as Kishan sample 192.168.137.5), down in the options to see more, then the gateway (192.168.137.1), the network prefix (24), DNS 1 (8.8.8.8) DNS 2, (8.8.4.4), leave the rest (Proxy and Security). After this, and with the password typed, press Connect. You are in your wifi laptop. :-)

One or more parameters for the command are not correct or missing.
Usage: set hostednetwork [mode=]allow|disallow [ssid=]
[key=] [keyUsage=]persistent|temporary
Parameters:
Tag Value
mode Specifies whether to allow or disallow the hosted network.
ssid SSID of the hosted network.
key The user security key used by the hosted network.
keyUsage Specifies whether the user security key is persistent or
temporary.
Remarks:
This command changes the properties of hosted network, including: SSID
of the hosted network, allow or disallow the hosted network in the system,
and a user security key that is used by the hosted network.
The user security key should be a string with 8 to 63 ASCII characters,
eg. a passphrase, or 64 hexadecimal digits which represent 32 binary
bytes.
If keyUsage is specified as persistent, the security key will be saved
and used when the hosted network is started again in future. Otherwise
it will be used only when the current or next time the hosted network
is started. Once the hosted network is stopped, the temporary security
key will be deleted from the system. If keyUsage is not specified, it
is persistent by default.
This command requires administrator privileges to allow or disallow the
hosted network.
Examples:
set hostednetwork mode=allow
set hostednetwork ssid=ssid1
set hostednetwork key=passphrase keyUsage=persistent

OK Right click on Computer icon Then go to > manage > under service and applications > you will find > services > now click on services > then find > WLAN auto config and start or restart it.
And also double click on WLAN auto config and change the startup type to automatic and click apply !
