Great job on this 4 video set. Thank you for your help. I will have my jig set up this week and have my materials ordered. I can wait to start building some strings!
Great videos really. May be because I misunderstood your coments, but when you explain the sense you serve the string, I think it should be the opposite way, but I repeat, probbly I misunderstood you.
@@SomewhereInWisconsin I literally just found that vid 3 minutes ago and I'm watching it now. Looks super solid and not that difficult to built. Thanks again!
Thanks for watching. I think to make the jig was like $50-75 and then the material after that is around $30-60 to build that first set. It depends on what servings you go with. So you can build your first set for less than you can buy a new set. And have material left over to build one or two more after that.
Hey man. Thanks for your perfect video. The only thing I didn’t really get is which serving material you use for which part of the serving? Can you help me out? Thanks 🙏🏽

Hey! I didn't show to much on how it looked, but I did post a picture of it on Instagram. My username there is Somewhere In Wisconsin as well. Thanks for watching!!!
On a two post jig, it is best to do end less loops (like I showed in the video). They are stable and strong. If, you have a 3 or 4 post jig, you can serve your end loops. But, that is a good question to ask or research on the thread I reference which is on AT. They have much more knowledge than me on if one is better or not.
@@SomewhereInWisconsin Watching your videos so many times, you seem to be both clockwise and counter-clockwise, or if my main string is twisted clockwise, so my braces should also be clockwise, right?
It wasn't too hard. Most challenging part would be tapping the holes where you put your posts in. If you go to the description there is a link to a thread on it. The guy who designed the jig, actually builds and sells them now. Maybe $150. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

I have been doing some reading and seen that to make a tag. End it essentially is just puting a piece of string between the outside of the post and the string and crossing them over and going from there. Is that basically what you do
@@jonmater0184 Hey John, you actually use the string from your layout process. The ends where you start to layout and the ends where you finish the layout are called the tag ends. You take those ends and cross on the backside of the post, bring to the front and place both in between your string bundles you laid out. Then pull these two ends to the back of the string. I think I show it in video 2 of the series.

Good job man. Only complaint I hv is your hand was blocking the view a lot!
Look up how to make Flemish bowstring. The strings have no end serving
Compound strings need end serving to prevent wear on the string.
Now do one on how to do cables
What kind of bow? My cables are done the exact same way, just serving is in different spots.
