I know this is about Jazz , but this lady could play ANYTHING . I remember her as one of the best country Nashville session back up players. She held her own no problem with the best country musicians of the time.
Harry Warren's "At Last" is a good example of use of the "blue" notes, but George Gershwin really started the trend with Rhapsody in Blue and many of his songs.
Winning the lottery or getting piano lessons from Beegie Adair.....I would have to take the piano lessons! I would get a lot more pleasure out of playing the piano like Beegie does versus any amount of money.
