However, because he isn't malicious, Saitama allows Goku time to recover on several occasions because he was starting to have fun again. I am absolutely blown away by this! Honestly, I stumbled upon this by chance, but this is the best fan animation I have ever seen in my life. I'm and fan of both series and this fight encompassed the way these men would truly fight and the emotions they would feel. (My only gripe is that the audio cuts out during parts of the fight and not everything is subtitled, but that's it.)

The full production weight and time in took to produce non stop animation for 40 minutes is insane. I am a 3d modeler but I still recognize the sheer effort and patience one must take on traditional 2D. It must've took you many months, probably even a year for full production well it depends on the staff size but if you were a lone wolf then you're insane. Either way, i'm glad your video succeeded in views and I hope it made a substantial amount profit worth 40 minutes of storyboarding, animation, compositing, coloring, editing and rendering etc. You created one heck of a project for your portfolio development, you will go far. I'm 5 minutes in but i gotta say this: THE NARRATIVE IS FLAWLESS, i don't care about the rest of the fight, but seeing Saitama unphased and thinking silly things about Goku is just perfectly on point. "i'm facing an oponent who changes his hair color" is the most Saitama line ever.

I edit pretty fast with accuracy. It takes me 1.5 hours to make a 30 second amv. It will taked 3 months STRAIGHT to 'animate' this. Just some random opinion, not calculated.
As a huge fan of both characters, this is beyond anything I could’ve ever hoped for in a fan animation. Absolutely unreal talent, mind-boggling that one fan created this. Takes one of the most talked about ‘what-if’ fight scenarios, makes it almost an hour long with god-level animation, AND stays faithful to the actual character’s personalities? Bruh this is a dream come true and then some. Watching this made me feel like a kid again, so fucking hype.
Are you sure you are a fan of both? I am sure Goku personally is completely off. He resembles more Vegeta than Goku. Goku is easy going and happy, he would not approach a fight for sparing with this angry and serious attitude and act as a try hard, also he would be overjoyed about facing a powerful opponent, there is none of that in this animation. Saitama on his end is also easy going and he would feel that Goku is not a bad guy from the start, he is the one that see through people considered villains as being actually good guys, he would perceive one of the most good natured people as being a good guy as well. If anything this animation got theirs personalities completely wrong…

A masterpiece of animation. The amount of effort that went into this is absolutely amazing. The only thing that detracts a bit from this is subtitles not matching the language. But it's understandable that you couldn't get the real voice actors to act this out and for those that don't speak Japanese, it's not an issue. Maybe with today's AI, this could be done too. Half of the time I was sucked into the movie and totally forgot this wasn't even an official release lol. This is one of the most convincing fan anime I have ever seen and the fight of Goku vs Saitama is honestly the most well deserved fights to make.
I don't know if the creator of this realizes how special this is to me and others. It's two different generations, with one clearly drawing roots from it's predecessor. One punch man was made with dragtonball in mind. Look at the opening villain form the first scene in the first episode, he looks so much like piccolo. The use of side characters and using the mannerism of the characters in how they would ACTUALLY interact was spot on. I am speechless.
Very few people can create such a masterful animation that rival million dollar budgets and this is one man creating such beautiful work. Great job man thank you so much for giving this to us.

Bc he used the kamehameha and the dragon fist in his ssj4 against omega and wasn't even close to being drained of his power. I understand if someone was trying to show that both human and non human beings are equal in some way. But still not right🙂↔️🤦♂️. And i can't believe he favored the hulk😂. Goku's more promising. He should've at least stayed on his last legs for a few seconds like vegeta did in his last fight with goku. At least(not very) goku was the last one to lose conciousness. The graphics could use some more work too. And what happend to the sound the last three times? Also of course that's our goku. Even though he fought saitama he still wanted to fight😁. Let's see what happens next

Every hit felt powerful and heavy, the animation itself and styles (taken from both DBZ and OPM) was just incredible, the music, the voice acting… this was truly perfect. I hope you have a long and amazing future in the animation industry!
l would say the second one, fan made. And thats just because this one looks more cartoonish. But in lenght this one gets the crown, even compared with any DB movie by all the fighting

This is incredible. I've never seen such a well done Goku vs. Saitama. The animation, the sound effects, even the tone of the dialog and the cut aways. It was just like a DBZ movie from someone who really knew their tropes. The production across all of it is unprecedented.
I think my favorite thing about watching this all together for the first time and having zero prior knowledge is that, by 9:27, I can already see the improvement in your work from the first scene on. It's like watching someone evolve in real time, learning and improving technique through hands-on experience. This is amazing work. Enough gushing, I'm gonna finish watching

Honestly, I stumbled upon this by chance, but this is the best fan animation I have ever seen in my life. I'm and fan of both series and this fight encompassed the way these men would truly fight and the emotions they would feel.
(My only gripe is that the audio cuts out during parts of the fight and not everything is subtitled, but that's it.)
The subtitles aren’t accurate at all, they’re just clips. It would be an incoherent mess if they were accurately translated.

The full production weight and time in took to produce non stop animation for 40 minutes is insane. I am a 3d modeler but I still recognize the sheer effort and patience one must take on traditional 2D. It must've took you many months, probably even a year for full production well it depends on the staff size but if you were a lone wolf then you're insane. Either way, i'm glad your video succeeded in views and I hope it made a substantial amount profit worth 40 minutes of storyboarding, animation, compositing, coloring, editing and rendering etc. You created one heck of a project for your portfolio development, you will go far. As a huge fan of both characters, this is beyond anything I could’ve ever hoped for in a fan animation. Absolutely unreal talent, mind-boggling that one fan created this.
Takes one of the most talked about ‘what-if’ fight scenarios, makes it almost an hour long with god-level animation, AND stays faithful to the actual character’s personalities? Bruh this is a dream come true and then some. Watching this made me feel like a kid again, so fucking hype.

Are you sure you are a fan of both? I am sure Goku personally is completely off. He resembles more Vegeta than Goku. Goku is easy going and happy, he would not approach a fight for sparing with this angry and serious attitude and act as a try hard, also he would be overjoyed about facing a powerful opponent, there is none of that in this animation.
Saitama on his end is also easy going and he would feel that Goku is not a bad guy from the start, he is the one that see through people considered villains as being actually good guys, he would perceive one of the most good natured people as being a good guy as well.
If anything this animation got theirs personalities completely wrong…

A masterpiece of animation. The amount of effort that went into this is absolutely amazing. The only thing that detracts a bit from this is subtitles not matching the language. But it's understandable that you couldn't get the real voice actors to act this out and for those that don't speak Japanese, it's not an issue. Maybe with today's AI, this could be done too. Half of the time I was sucked into the movie and totally forgot this wasn't even an official release lol. This is one of the most convincing fan anime I have ever seen and the fight of Goku vs Saitama is honestly the most well deserved fights to make.
I don't know if the creator of this realizes how special this is to me and others. It's two different generations, with one clearly drawing roots from it's predecessor. One punch man was made with dragtonball in mind. Look at the opening villain form the first scene in the first episode, he looks so much like piccolo. The use of side characters and using the mannerism of the characters in how they would ACTUALLY interact was spot on. I am speechless.

This was most likely due to a copyright issue. RUclips gives you the option to mute it and it’s the easiest solution because the remove copy written audio function is not reliable.

This is incredible. I've never seen such a well done Goku vs. Saitama. The animation, the sound effects, even the tone of the dialog and the cut aways. It was just like a DBZ movie from someone who really knew their tropes. The production across all of it is unprecedented.
Besides, maybe having better backgrounds on Earth, I felt truly immersed and invested in this one.
