    I love this book. Lady Susan is one of the great characters in English Literature in my opinion. A perfect example of a manipulative narcissist portrayed with tremendous skill and wit. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it.

    I really do like your way of speaking, your mannerism and, of course, your topic. I'm a huge Jane Austen fan. Thank you!

    Susan doesn't need a motive - she's just a sociopath.

    Appreciate this walk through Lady Susan, as I'm not familiar with it. Your accent and voice are as charming as ever. 💜And I adore your tea mug! Love it.

    I saw the movie in the theatre a few years back, it was amusing and fun. And what I remember was listening to other people complaining about it. Comments like that wasn’t a Jane Austen story, dissatisfied with the produciton😊

    I really enjoyed your video. I *LOVE* Lady Susan. She is so unrepentantly bad. You're right; even if it was an exercise written at nineteen, it shows how much of a genius Austen when she was young. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

      So happy to hear that! And yes, "unrepentantly bad" is definitely a fitting description!

    The summary was lovely. However at the end shouldn't it be stepfather instead of father in law.

    • @meherinnigarkazi9700
      @meherinnigarkazi9700 Год назад +1

      Yes as Fredrick was supposed to be her stepfather if he married Lady Susan.

      Thank you! And it does seem like I got a little confused there at the end. Sir James is Frederica's stepfather while Reginald de Courcy is Lady Susan's son-in-law. Apologies!

      @@ArnellaHobler Oh! I am reading it as a choice book for English literature class, and it takes place in the 1920s, it is really entertaining and I like it so far!
      It has some love drama happening there haha. I read Emma and watched your video about the book, really good video that helped me understand the book a bit better since english is not my native language :)
