So "interesting" to see people comparing different renditions / interpretations....and making pronouncements like "is better than XXXX, but not as good as YYYYYY" Isn't that simple personal preferences? I believe the phrase "De gustibus non est disputandum". sums it up nicely...."beauty is in the eye of the beholder" or ""In matters of taste, there can be no disputes", yet here we are 2 thousand years later, still having this debate! GO STUDY YOUR LATIN! And, by the way, no version can compare to the incredible joy I've felt playing my own very flawed version....as if Beethoven had written it for me!!!!! Such joy!
Beautiful, simple, clean.
Second Movement @6:00
Gliels plays this sonata very good.
Is better than Richter .
