@@mia-janeallen2542 i would say the thing that helped me was practice questions/papers and i’d focus on the topics i struggled with the most. For example,I took the higher tier maths paper and the questions at the end always got to me so i practiced a bunch of those. Throughout year 11 i consistently got 4s in my mocks because i didn’t revise but after i did practise papers for like 2 weeks i managed to bump it up to a 6 on my last set of mocks and i was only 3 marks off a 7. It is possible so don’t give up and don’t pay attention to the doubters ; good luck 😁

i have had around 6 mental breakdowns (w many tears) bc i’ve come to the realisation that i quite literally know nothing securely for these exams next week 😭 it’s not looking good, but you got this! you need to kill gcses & not let gcses kill you. PERSEVERE N REMAIN RESILIENT. the effort you put it now will all be worth it for august

Music and art have taken up SO much time out of what I thought were plenty of weeks to revise. With my 10 hour art exam starting tomorrow… it’s so stressful 😅.
I have been getting more confident with my weakest subjects however (*cough* HISTORY) and as long as I get those things in English memorised, I’m very hopeful 🙏

For English lit my teacher said just get a practice question have a video opened like mr sales or mr everything English or mr gruff or first rate tutors they’re all good
And answer the questions with the vid based on that question, u will learn alot with it
And then once ur confident enough answer question without the vid

@@noel.m7148 I did multiple things from constant maths papers to watching people go thru them. I used GCSE maths tutor and maths genie the most as they helped me to fully understand concepts that were really hard for me. I really, REALLY recommend using maths genie, they were the biggest help for me. Also it took me around about 2months but I procrastinated alot and it's different for everyone. Good luck :3

Last round of mocks, I got grade-6 results across the board because I didn't revise. While that sounds pretty good, my original target grades back in year 7 were 8s and 9s, with Separate Sciences being a significant struggle now. But hopefully I can squeeze at least a 7 in all of them if I can turn my atrocious revision routine around in the last week (wish me luck).

use examiner reports when you do the past papers, i find it helpful in figuring out on what could come up based on where people the year before went wrong and to also practice areas that are commonly done wrong which will most likely boost your marks.

let go of questions that you cant answer straight away, you'll pick up more marks in the long run

yo hsola w content gangy when u talka bout letting of questions for english lit when ur running out of time what do u recommend to eiher start on a whole new 20 marker or to try and get as many more marks a s possible also im good and english but im a slow writer so ho do u recommend i get faster at writing cheers
Try to get faster at writing now so it's easier for you in the exam, you can try giving yourself less time than needed in the exam when practising at home or you can try those methods where you attach things to your pen to make it heavier, then you should write faster in the exam when your pen is light. Don't be afraid of large / messy writing, so long as its readable! Also, let's say you've done 2 paragraphs for one question and you're running out of time, just move on and start the next question then come back to the last question if you have time at the end.

Eng Lit:7 (I am so proud of myself)
Eng Lang:7 (I almost cry when I see the result)
Math:8 (6 marks away from a 9😢)
Music:9 (wasn't expect at all as I thought I did bad on my listening)

Honestly, I did better than I thought mostly in the subjects that I wasn't that confidence. However, for the subjects like math and food tech , I didn't get the best grade I want which is still fine. But here I will not do that mistake again.
Btw I choose Biology, Chemistry and Music for my A-level. Now, I am facing my organic chemistry which is killing me. But overall it is quite fun so far even though there are lots of work. You know what that's how HK works so I just need to pick them up a little bit more and get rid of my laziness.

Great video , Ive finished all the past papers for sciences already one week before the exam and have averaged at a mid 9 for every paper , what do you recommend I do now to ensure those high grades?
CGP has some good science papers and you can do some of those predicted ones online. If you did some papers a while ago, do them again to see if you learnt from your mistake. Turn any question you keep getting wrong into a flashcard
