I always tear up when Kirstie sings here. She is the climax voice the whole song was building up to. Beautifully done.

Kevin had serious doubts about joining a band that tours and Scott assured him that it would not be a problem. Kevin observes the Sabbath every week. He and his brother host a podcast. He is the reason PTX keeps lyrics clean. His little girl's birthday is next month and there are videos of him and his wife and grandma with his little girl.

From all of the conversations I have listen to on various podcasts, I believe all of them believe in God. They are genuine people and don't perpfe, from sundown on Friday until sundown on sATURDAY BECAUSE kEVIN'S fAITH OBSERVES THE sABBATH AT THAT TIME.

They recorded this at that location for it's resonance qualities. It is the glass church located in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

Oh honey, their first single for the PTX 2022 Christmas album is called Prayers for this World & they did one of the most beloved Christian Christmas songs from the Philippines featuring Lea Salonga! The album from the year before they did a now Grammy nominated (the whole Evergreen album was nominated) cover of The Prayer! They never shy away from anything musically, they just present their phenomenal work & you feel their universal love for each other & for the people that will be touched by their music. They sing with pure joy & love & that's what always shines thru. There's a huge difference between Faith & Religion (IMO) & PTX has always perfectly presented any songs of Faith without being preachy. It's beautiful & rare!

Thank you for reacting to this beautiful Pentatonix video. Pentatonix has 7 Christmas albums and some non Christmas albums, including 2 albums of original songs. You will find many, many songs of faith and positive energy in their musical catalog. They are a great band and they cover many different genres of music. I hope that you will check out more of their music and music videos. They sang this song on their 2021 and 2022 Christmas tours

PTX has done "The Prayer" & "Prayers for this World" . And there's "Evergreen" which honors mothers and not 'people who give birth.' They haven't been cancelled and neither have the reactors who cover them. You'll find that Kirstie often has the part where the intensity of a song is increased as she ramps up the power setting on her amazing voice.

You're right, Kirstie really shone in this one. Kevin (the beatboxer) in particular, and Matt, the bass, too, never shy away from discussing faith. None of them do, really, but it's a very important part of Kevin and Matt's identities. Kevin hosts a faith podcast. I am new to your channel, so I haven't checked yet (I will), but you mentioned the Star Spangled Banner also makes you emotional (me too!), so you may have already reacted to Pentatonix's recent performance of it at the National College Football Championship a few weeks ago. If you haven't, I highly recommend it! I enjoyed your reaction very much! Subbed.

Nothing naughty with being of faith. Some of the members are very openly very religious. Kevin observes Sabbath and for like a decade they have not performed or worked sundown friday to sundown saturday in respect of him. He has a podcast about christianity. Matt is the son of a music pastor. There is nothing wrong or bad or cancleable about being of faith as long as you're not a prick about it. Kevin is strong and steadfast in his faith becasue it's about him, not about knocking other people over the head with the bible. Kevin is very very devout, in a way that many people can't be without seeming like absolute knobs. He manages to do it in the way where he leads by kindness, openness and example instead of trying to force some kind of "this is what I say is right so everyone must agree" kind of mentality. He absolutely looooves and adore Mitch who is in the band. An openly gay man who has played a lot with gender expression, the paranormal etc. They genuinely love and respect each other. THAT is being true in your faith but also being a decent human realizing that others living by other guidelines is ok.

      Really wonderful comment!
His approach, is what Christianity has historically always been about! The thing that many "so-called" Christians of today have forgotten is, to be a true Christian, is to be "In the world, but not OF the world."

PTX is Black,White, Hispanic. Gay , Straight, and Bi. They are Christian, Avi is Jewish and some not so religious.
This is what real diversity looks like. Love and respect for one another and always working for the music not yourself

Christians should be more like Kevin and less like Hillsboro Baptist. Too many Christians have forgotten that kindness and respect are one of the foundations of faith and are completely necessary to practice The Golden Rule which Jesus laid down in the New Testament. They are collectively very special people.

I was sorry to hear your comment about faith in God being "kind of a dirty word that can get you cancelled". If anyone was cancelling something, it was you, who were making assumptions about who might be faith driven people. Please open your heart and mind to all those who follow their faith.

I'm Jewish. Nothing about this performance offended me. They aren't saying anything bad about anyone else's beliefs. I think Kevin's (beatboxer/falsetto) and Matt's (bass) Christian faith is beautiful. They have love to give everyone, including their gay bandmates, as well as Kirstin when she had her baby as a single mom (she's now engaged to the father, her longtime boyfriend). That said, I've had my share of people trying to change what I believe, and that's a kind of dirty thing to do, to insist that your faith is better than someone else's.

You shocked me when you said that to recognize your faith, not hide it is naughty these days. Please, compared to what, NFL Half Time shows? The Grammys? Hmmmm. I don't know where you live, but where I live it's not that way. Speak and believe freely, without fear of being called 'naughty'. Thanks for reacting.
