I love my Viofo A229 Pro...best dash cam I've owned to date (and I've gone through a lot of them). Mounted high up and powered by tapping into the mirror. No visible wires and camera is out of sight.
Thanks for the video. Damn, I hope there is a trade in program and we can just swap the Older cameras out for the newer versions with the same cabling.
Two features I would like to see in any dash cameras are first a remote mounted processor for the dash camera. This is to facilitate a 2 or 4 TB SSD to be mounted in a secure location to prevent theft. That way the interior cab camera may be tampered with by a car jacker thinking they are removing the information (the dash camera) of their face which was recorded. Second by remote mounting the processor and SSD this should reduce the high temperature shut down mode as it is not located next to the windscreen and in direct sunlight. Only the lens is mounted next to the windscreen which also makes it less conspicuous. Another benefit is all the power cables, auxiliary battery accessories, SSD and processor can be mounted in a location that is both secure and less prone to overheating issues. Thanks for sharing.
Not impressed. AI will have a lot of legal issues in trustworthiness in court situations. Manufactures should focus on using professional grade lenses and sensors at a higher price. None of these dash cams can accurately and consistently capture license plates
Don't need any of my appliances or dash cameras monitoring my daily routine only to sell that information to a third party. Just want a dash camera to record in high resolution, have the ability to record license plate numbers day or night and finally not have over heating issues. Less bells and whistles but more quality and reliability.
I really hope they add in a power saving mode like the u3000 because it get tiring having to charge my powercell 8 every day when I don't drive everyday
Thank you for the interview! At lest we know there will be new dashcams comping up during 2nd half of 2025!~ While we patiently wait for the arrival of their new products, would it be possible for you to review their box models?
I’ve been shopping for a dashcam and initially gravitated towards BlackVue, but aspects like the camera mounts for Lexus/Toyota only being available in Canada in the upcoming models and the fact that other dashcams provide better resolution as a faction of the cost cause me to take pause.
So we talked about more features off-camera. Initially they were really hesitant to share details and was surprised when they shared about the resolution options. I kept probing a bit, but they didn’t wanna share more video quality details on camera. I wonder if he was trying to balance in the moment how much to say and what to withhold.
@@VortexRadar Sounds like the features are not ready for prime time. It would be a marketing disaster to put out a product that does not uphold to the hype or customer expectations. They need to stick to high quality and reliability. Don't want to buy a new dash camera every other year that break down or for new features that don't work.
What to do you do for a living if you don’t mind me asking. I’m a young college student trying to figure out life and absolutely love cars but can’t find a good financial path or job to support my love and passion for them. Sorry if this question was a bit much. The 911 is my dream car and eventually want one to track. Thanks Arnold.
Bllackvue's rep knows nothing about the product. No Clue.. He is the guy they send to CES. Just keeps saying, "AI." Where did they dig this guy up from? AI alerts you to bumps in the road. Such silliness..
@@VortexRadar 'the first thing I thought about too. But the rep wasn't versed in the positive things of facial recognition and sensing when a commercial driver is falling asleep behind the wheel and alarming him/her of it. That would be a game changer in driver safety.. Perhaps in the future..
Wtf, looks like i will ne looking for a new provider. I use my dashcam through the web. I should not have to be a business customer to use the web interface
Why present the new webcams when they can't tell you anything? The guy representing blackvue is not good at it, I quit watching your video. I don't like it when you have to constantly ask him questions to get him to talk, poor interview .
Blackvue has become lazy. Market recognition software as AI. Which has been out for many years. Nothing new . No innovation what so ever. I swear, this dashcam game is for the taking by anyone with a brain, money and know how
Liking the Vortex Radar shirt 😏
I’m so excited to see the new product from them. And thanks to you man ❤
Was a diehard Blackvue user and now nothing but Viofo A229 Pro and A329. BV cannot compete!

Blackvue needed a better rep for this “presentation” 🤦🏾
Why send someone that does not know much about the new product?…😳😳😳
This guy has mastered corporate speak. When asked about new features, it ended with "It will help you run your business better"
@@egovorch it was so painful to watch.

Like Blackvue’s Box series dashcams? amzn.to/4aaSMlm

I’m looking forward to this stuff after they give more information lol. My 970S has been steady for the past several years

Hey all! Will BlackVue make a system for motorcycle? If so when?
Seems like the rep didn't really know anything about the new cameras other than 'you can see better at night'

I have a Porsche 911 for 2025 which is pre-wired for a dashcam. Will there be a Blackvue Porsche mount that fits a pre-wired Porsche 911?

I think it’s supposed to be about recognizing when a driver is falling asleep, on their phone, not wearing a seat belt, etc
@@VortexRadar I thought they were marketing a dash camera not an AI driver assist.

This BlackVue rep did not give much information about the camera.
This is actually way more than I was expecting them to share on camera, but I agree nonetheless.
There is an invisible gun pointed to his head if you freeze the frame
This rep was terrible...he was completely unprepared to answer customer questions and seemed very uninformed.
How old is he ?😂😂😂😂
It's almost like this poor rep was armed with a couple marketing terms and has no idea what he's talking about.
