Before I start, I want to say I ABSOLUTELY love your content and this is NOT a critique in any way, shape or form. I'm just trying to offer some feedback and a different perspective to a very nuanced issue you raised in this video, and understandably didn't have a lot of time to expand on. I believe it is indeed extremely crucial to be environmental-conscious and research about how your actions affect the whole world. But, in this case, my personal opinion is that, if we have to tackle trees on fire, for example, let's talk about it in Brazil where acres of rainforest are cleared out for cattle or like in the US and parts of Europe where wildfires are caused by drought because certain industries use/waste too much water, not put that focus on a centuries' old local tradition that happens once a year. In this same line, for example, I understand completely and admire people who are vegetarian/vegan because of how the whole streamline of meat/beef/fish/etc commerce is incredibly harmful for both humans and planet alike, but I do not condemn criticizing indigenous peoples and their traditions when it comes to hunting/fishing for their culture and livelihood. I'm a journalist, I have worked with tons of international organizations, and I'd be more than willing to get deeper into this conversation sometime if you want! :) again, AMAZING work with your vlogs!!!
And to think a month or so ago you were dreading this trip. Sometimes we are discouraged from doing the very things that will bring us the most joy! I felt like that before going on a trip once many years ago and managed to meet my future husband on it! Glad you jumped in head first and are feeling 180 degrees different than how you felt before you left:) It’s so uplifting to see you smile! Thank you for sharing 🙏

I'm also almost done with it and it has been an immense struggle for the past months, that I am very curious to know how you handled it. At a new years eve in germany a few years ago a latern like this flew into a zoo and a whole part of it burned down and within it many monkeys burned alive, truly tragic and i hope these laterns wouldnt exist anymore bc they pose such a risk Its sad bc they truly are beautiful
thelatern festival in Pingxi,Taiwan has its own reason, cuz the direction of wind in this season would fly lanterns to the ocean nearby. so there's no need to worry about whether they would burn sth or not.
