Counting my blessings this morning. Cat on my lap, dogs at my feet, coffee cup full, fire in the wood stove, Scho and Jo on the tube. If it can get better I dont know how. ☮
You guys choose absolutely the best music. Jen, you should do a cookbook. I'm not a vegetarian, but i think i would enjoy some of your dishes. We truly have enjoyed following yall from the beginning.
Might have been one of the hardest but y’all made it look easy, well done guys. Jen, you rock! I love how you are so honest about your anx, but also living your best life full of adventure. You Rock! 7:42 During the floods in California Delta, when you see a log its usually a giant tree under the water surface. Looking back at this footage, I bet you are glad to be in a warmer climate
Not warmer than the CA Delta! I love watching your vids, as I have a CHB 34 with single Ford Lehman and cruise the CA Delta and SF Bay and coast. I'd love to do the Great Loop.
Ollie is looking a little gray around her nose. And so sweet wrapped up in the blankets. Watching out the window as you're talking it looks like you're going 20 knots. 🙂
Ollie was so cute all wrapped up in the blanket. At least with drift in the river, you were not transiting the locks northbound. The crap really builds up in front of the upriver doors. We screwed up a shaft going though a pile of stuff heading upriver on the Ohio. I think it was coming out of the Greenup L&D. We had to wait out a tornado that went across the river just upstream of the lock. They held all the boats in the chamber before they let us out and did not raise the water level up to the upper pool until after the storm had passed. We had to haul out in that area and have the shaft straightened.
"Watch out for that tree" Thanks for that. I haven't thought of George of the Jungle in years lol! I have enjoyed watching your river cruising content. If I would have known when you docked at the Kaskaskia River we would have drove over there to say hi. We are less than a 30 minute drive from there.
I dodge rocks and debris in my tinny up here on all the time. The ice is late this year on Georgian Bay and it is way too cold and scary to go out. I know you are playing a different game and you have more experience in a large craft than I do. You both certainly have my respect at this point. Great Captain, great crew. Ollie too! (Public Relations)
Notice that the front of Pivot is getting a brown upper lip. You need to jump in scrub that off and enjoy the swim. Debris is a problem and I did notice that can on front of that barge. Wonder if it will come off while locking through. Enjoy
Maybe it is just me but I would be running the generator so that I could have some heat in those temperatures. A generator uses minimal fuel and provides so much comfort. I have even seen people crack open an engine hatch to all that heat to help warm up a cabin. Safe travels!
We did use that engine hatch trick a few times! The issue with our generator is that it is loud, so we only used it when we wanted it. We used it a lot on the rivers, though!
Was that a Chanel marker stuck to the front of the barge exiting the lock? Where I dock at floating debris is super common after rains. Like where does all this come from!!!! And how did that whole tree make it through the shallows and bridges???
Not quite the loop, but the most scared I have been is kayaking rivers in flood stage. Some rapids get wiped out and some become monsters that require extreme care. I don't recommend doing any rivers in flood stage.
Purely time! They are a great addition, but since we have electric and AC reverse heating we technically can already heat up to boat, de-prioritizing better heating. If we mainly transited up North then it'd be a must-have!
There aren't many. The main reason to tie together would be social so you can hang out without dropping the dingy and if someone doesn't have good anchor faith. The holding is really good in the rivers and since, ground tackle is usually tailored to the weight of one boat it means you typically want to shy away from rafting. Another reason to raft might be if you drop two anchors in opposite directions to limit swing, but that isn't an issue on the rivers too!
I think this might be it? It doesn't have tofu but it does have chickpeas! cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1019772-spiced-chickpea-stew-with-coconut-and-turmeric
nice laugh at the end....thanks.... I've noticed y'all are all business (not enough horseplay, jokes, and puns on camera) MUST find humor in everything.

100% happy to be in a warmer climate, especially on the boat! Thanks for watching, Bell

Love watching you two laugh and sing and be silly. Maybe there was a nip of something else in those potato latkes 😂
I have watched all your shows and loved them, Great Job!
Thanks so much Robert!
You guys make me laugh....thanks!

Haha she is still a young pup at heart 😁
You are just cranking them out now!
Releasing 3 a week! 😁 Hope you enjoy!
Catching up on your videos having trailered south for the winter. The amount of debris you had to deal with!

Darn thats unlucky!!
@@SchoandJo That's boating for ya. Things go smoothly for days and one thing happens in five minutes that costs you days and a chunk of money! 😂
So good. Thanks
Thanks for watching!

Great now I have George of the Jungle song stuck in my head, lol

Would love to have that latka recipe, looks delicious
They were delicious! Here is the recipe we used: cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1015533-classic-potato-latkes

haha not sure we would be jumping in 4 kts of current in 30 degrees of weather! It'll just have to wait for warmer waters 😁

Yup sure was you said it in the bloopers.
Haha you have a sharp eye, Matt! I know right, its crazy to think about where all this stuff comes from
Saw that at 9:14 too

Totally recommend!
You two been hittin’ the sauce at the end?
Just loving life!
So are you guys trying to make it to the gulf?
That's right!
Why don't you have a heater in the boat, like a diesel heater?
Purely time! They are a great addition, but since we have electric and AC reverse heating we technically can already heat up to boat, de-prioritizing better heating. If we mainly transited up North then it'd be a must-have!
red nun missing at location......uh, nevermind, we found it... (@ 9:13)
😂
Is there any benefit to tying up together when anchoring in that situation?
There aren't many. The main reason to tie together would be social so you can hang out without dropping the dingy and if someone doesn't have good anchor faith. What kind of cabin heat do you have?
We have an electric heater alongside our AC has reverse cycle heating 👍
Jenn, HELP ,A few videos ago you had a recipe for Tofu, coconut milk maybe curry. Trying to remember it but can’t find the video. HELP

@@SchoandJo Thanks Jenn, Really appreciate you doing that.
Elliott, did you forget to shave or are you trying to grow a mustache
This came to mind when I watched your bloopers and the logs you had to move... ruclips.net/video/g9OmpXlTQaQ/видео.htmlsi=vtUaE9gU2s99k0oe
haha, that's hilarious!
