@@livingintylertexas I loved it, just because it was my hometown. My parents hate it because of traffic. But I myself would love to move back Tyler someday.
You seem like a great person, so this is comment is not about you, but about your overall message. Totally disagree with your evaluation. Tyler is NOT AFFORDABLE. Food prices are much higher here, as well as gas and definitely HOME PRICES. The home prices in Tyler are so over inflated (like many areas of Texas) partially due to people from other states moving in... and prices have continued to be OUT OF REACH for anyone who has lived here for years and is trying to move up. Greed has definitely taken over the mindsets of sellers around here when they are asking $1000's over what the home is really worth. Buyers BEWARE! Do your research in this market!! The current market is beginning to flood with those same out of state buyers now trying to sell after only a year or two of being here. Please stop encouraging out of town buyers as if its just so easy and wonderful to make it here in Texas. Instead, encourage research to both sellers and buyers alike. I do agree with you that TYLER is an awesome place, but it is quickly losing that appeal due to unaffordability.
