One of the oldest trick in the book. The thief would use an item whether it being a tin, other cards, binder, phone, and etc. They would slide the potentially stolen item(s) under the item to hide it while slipping it into their pocket. Sleazy people I swear

Realistically you should have started to let him walk away with it and then walk up to him. When you call him out at the table he can make an excuse like he did and walk away. It's an old trick from security in places like Target/WalMart ete.
I like a coin Flip over dice rolling with dice one can go flying off table same can happen with coin but its 50/50 and the coin can't scam you like a set of loaded dice that can be fixed to roll odds or evens based on the owners choice.

You normally buy the ES loose packs or are those from hunting the boxes/tins they are in at Walmart/Target? Also, ALWAYS call out a thief when you catch one on camera. Others need to be aware it’s going on, so both vendors and buyers to catch them and help the legit players in the hobby!
Many other vendors have a youtube and he has done it to many others. This kid is a professional card thief and his dad is in on it. I would honestly get security and call the cops and press charges. I would go the extra mile and in my spare time watch other videos that he was in and download those videos and cut out the part he was stealing from other vendors and s how that at the time to the police also. He will never stop doing this and getting away with it. He got a whole stack of cards including a 500 dollar garatina from one table.

Reason I ask, is I'm fixing to do my first two day show. And I'm wondering if anyone has ever had issue leaving their stuff there overnight. I talked to someone else, and they said they've never had an issue. But I would like to here other vendors experiences.
@@thomas_o I typically only leave the displays. If I can do anything to prevent theft and keep peace of mind even if it requires a little more work I will do it.
@@405tradingcards Problem is, I have so much stuff, that it would be impossible for me to take everything back to the hotel every night, then set back up the next morning. In fact, they're letting us set up a day early. Even with help, it's probably going to take me at least three hours to set up. If I was younger and didn't have much stuff, it might not be a problem. I do know that a lot of people use those body bags, zip up table covers, etc., but those are like two hundred bucks each, and we would need at least four of them.
