I put paper snowflakes that my stepson (he turned 30 this year!) and grandson made on my windows. and reuse them every year. so festive from the outside!

I always put a tree in front of a window. I love yours in front of a mirror! I always wrapped each branch in lights from the center trunk to the tips. It took FOREVER! Now I have a 2' tree I keep decorated, slip it into a plastic bag to keep it clean and then into a box to store. This year, I have no window to share my tree with neighbors, so it will go on a table in front of a mirror. Thanks for the idea.
@@LisaBurningham mini lights and Hallmark mini ornaments. When my tree was in the window, we always decorated all sides of the tree. The only tree that got very little was the 12 foot tall tree my husband thought would be a good idea. At the cut-your-own tree farm he had no sense of size but knew he wantrd a big one. Hahaha. We invited some exchange students over and cut out big foil paper shapes to decorate it and put his train set underneath. Had to use a broom to throw lights nesr the top.
Re homemade snowflakes - I suggest going a step further and getting clear contact paper (or use a laminator) to cover them and 'seal' them for table use. Maybe it's just me, but my table gets messy and spills would ruin plain paper.
