Dag is maybe the best tv show coming out of Norway. Well written and good acting, for the most part. I really like it

Dag is one of my absolute favorite TV-series globally of all time. It's in some ways similar to After Life by Ricky Gervais. It's really funny but it also has some serious underpinnings.

Its a great Norwegian show. its about a marriage chancellor who prefer being single and hate other peoples company. He recommend most of his clients to break up and projects his own life on his clients. 10/10 comedy drama. Think it might still be on Netflix with vpn

Dag is about Dag a marriage councillor with a quick fix approach to every thing "Get divorced" "Come on just move on already... just do it! you two make each other miserable" and this man is repeat client who comes in week after week with the most absurd questions like this one "Is ok for the kids to paint?" fearing they might pain the prophet and causing trouble like when the Danish newspaper published cartoons of the prophet and causing mayhem.

If you can get past reading subtitles, Dag is an ingenious and heart warming drama comedy show.

Dag is not the typical haha- Atle Antonsen thing but it’s a very good show. Both funny and lots of sad moments as well. Thought provoking at times. This is a proper tv show with full episodes so it’s not just sketches.

Yes, Dag is a marriage counselor, and his primary focus is that all of his clients SHOULD get a divorce. He has basically no faith in humanity anymore, so for him to do counseling of any kind is hilarious in itself. This character also matches well with the type of characters Atle typically portrays, so it feels very genuine to Norwegians. Atle is also doing a radio show with another comedian whose humor is similar to Atle, and they both take on the role of "grumpy middle aged men", while at the same time just being themselves. It is popular enough that they run a compressed version of it during the weekends.

I would say that Dag (the show, not the character) is a dramedy, not a comedy. I'd say it's a drama series that occationally has some really hilarious moments.
It's about a marriage counsilor who almost always tells people to leave each other and declare relationships dead, rather than trying to save them. But he's forced to rethink his entire life when he himself falls in love.

It’s so strange how some people seem to think you can’t do good out of your own heart and not just as a service to some not concrete «thing».
