If you're looking for a unique place card or label card concept (or a fun new material to draw doodles on), try agate. Writing calligraphy on agate combines the rustic charm of natural stone with the elegance of hand-lettering, creating eye-catching pieces perfect for events or home decor. In this tutorial, I'll walk you through how to choose the right agate slices, how to prepare them, and how to decorate them with durable ink strokes.
These are beautiful. Thanks for sharing how to write calligraphy on them. I like that they can be reused.
That's my favorite thing about them, too! Lovely *and* reusable. You can't go wrong!
How creative and clever….love that you can clean it and reuse!
My favorite part, too!
These are so pretty and unique idea for a party.
I agree! Very unique. I'm going to order more from Amazon to use for my next gathering. :)
Super cool. What a great look on a table!
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful!!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
I started buying white cotton gloves and cutting off the finger and thumb and writing that way to protect my surface from hand oils. Might a cotton glove on the left help with preventing oil transition onto surface?
That is genius -- and absolutely that would help!
Besides the Bleed Proof, would it be better to choose an acrylic ink like the poster paint? Also, Kuretake’s Pearl Calligraphy Gold ink would have enough body.
I'll bet you're right about the Kuretake gold! And yes, I'd use an acrylic ink ... anything paint-like is good. :)
Curious, with the bleed-proof white, could you add color to tint the ink? Or would it thin it out and not dry correctly?
Absolutely you could! Or use gouache. I just did that successfully. :)
