Clearly capable of way more than what was shown. Driver showing respect to Shawn there. Insane build. Now just need to convince my wife we 'need' one of these. Then the saving begins...
Good luck with the wife…and I think k this ride got me hooked to start diving into some off roading
For a 750k prerunner, I think it needs a pre-prerunner😂
This was an absolute nail biter when you were whipping around on those cliffs! Damn, and can you imagine the guys who must climb those cell phone towers for maintenance? Sick build. Love it and would pay every nickel they asked.
It was so much fun riding in this thing!
I wouldn’t. You can build a 2018 Chevy 1500 with dirt kings full length suspension build that’s 75% as capable as this truck for only 30k with labor on top of the price of the truck. You could spend another 5k and get a used tremec t56 6 speed trans, clutch, supercharger and supporting mods for the supercharger. For around 70k including the truck you can have a truck that can do almost everything this can. Plus the average person won’t be taking something like this to the ultimate limit and won’t ever use it to its full potential like a pro driver would so why spend all that money when you can get something that matches what you’re capable of doing. 700k is a rip off.
@@WhiteOwlOnFire_XXX you're ignoring the 15 years of experience they have doing something like that. Years of racing know how. Sure the kits come, but you'll either need to know how to tune all of that and have it work right together; or figure out how to do it yourself. Maybe they come pre-tuned but if so I'm sure that's part of the reason those kits are so expensive.
Manhours and the amount of people you have helping you is huge when doing a project like this. Again, it's not impossible but researching the amount of know how you would need to do something like even what you talked about would be huge. A 3-4 years if done by yourself, at least if you're also working full time. Having friends to help maybe a year or two.
Even with all that, the suspension geometry and hold up of parts are vastly different. Just look at the length and thickness of the control arms. This isn't a pavement princess. It's meant to reliably do thousand mile races on dirt, sand, gravel, rocks, or whatever else happens to be on the ground. While doing 90-100 mph as much as possible. Not a couple of laps on the local dirt bike track or local off road park maybe doing 50-70 and thinking you're going fast compared to something like what this truck is capable of.
To add on this, someone buying this truck probably knows how to drive it. Why else would they buy a custom pre-runner like this. This is a piece of engineering artwork that also happens to be extremely functional. Everything is not only for show, but dialed in to the millimeter. Like the air solenoid on the transmission from a jet that controls the shifting.
Mindsets like yours are the reason we can't have nice things anymore. Everyone complains ab cost so we end up with cheap pieces P(s)OS then complain its cheap P(s)OS. Go buy your kits. No one is stopping you. This is something else, in it's own league, and that's why it's in it's own price league. It's quality, cutting edge, and extremely pretty craftsmanship and engineering. Not to say you can't do something like this in your garage, as in you literally will be able to because they're going to sell it as a kit (which will prob be a bit cheaper), but it would take a while to say the least.
Did you even watch the video?
@@WhiteOwlOnFire_XXX but your screen name alone would require a special fire suppression system to be designed and installed, not to mention the exhorbitant insurance adjustment due to your spontaneously combustive tendencies... 😁
it’s a bot orgy,gross
That company is so lucky to have that fabricator! What a great dude.
This video was the whole package.

Have you heard of kibbetech , hopefully one day you can interview check out his built some of the best Pre runners I seen …
Just shot with them last week! That episode will be up next week and they’re awesome!
I don't mean to be crude but ....I'm turned on . Pre runners have a special place with me. As a chassis technician and a suspension nerd....ungh🥴 these rigs from these guys are simply hot.
lol and I get it! Slowly getting hooked on off road. Now I need to find that $750K I misplaced lol!!
@@AutotopiaLA right😮💨. Thankfully we can still have fun at a much lower premium. These are top of the line, a person could V8 swap pre 2000's ranger and buy kits or if they are handy with tools , build a solid dune banger . Twin I beam already and a 8.8 axle from the factory. Use V8 explorer engine mounts , a mustang trans and rear diff the biggest cost will be the reservoir shocks and roll cage.
Great built!
Self explanatory formula:
-Two wheels drive
-Big block chevy
-With 3 or 4 speed tranny
-10" ring and they've been winning since early 80's.... Just an observation 😊
That’s right!
@@AutotopiaLA congrats to you, and your team!!! Keep up the great work 👍
That was true about five years ago. AWD took a win from the 2WD crowd at that point and have been getting better ever since, now all the top teams are either in the process of switching or already have. In the next five years, 2WD trophy trucks will still be around and reliably finishing, but they won't be winning it. You'll basically need AWD if you want any hope at all of winning in the future.
Absolutely amazing vehicle, the attention to detail and engineering is insane. Wish we’re all balling enough to give these guys some business!
Insane the quality of build they do! I need a lot more $$$ lol!
Unbelievable build and company- Totally concur with the lead mechanic, I was a yacht builder my whole career, yacht builders are not yacht owners . Old 31’ Bertram yes !
Love the comment!
I'm sweating b@lls just watching...I can't imagine how Sean felt. I wouldn't have looked out my window either ;)
It was intense!
He should set up a shop in Saudi Arabia- They'd sell like factory Ford Raptors!
Saudi guys can just buy these from the US and have them shipped. They can afford it
Liwa.
Saudis will just buy and fly it over lol
...or they will disappear in a container bound for the Middle East.
They wont buy these….they love their FunCo Buggies over there 😂
Surprised that Shawn wasn't wearing like 8 rolls of duct tape holding him in that seat.
Velcro might have played a part in this episode lol!!
What a build, i rarely agree with the cost of these vehicle, its worth every penny... My anxiety couldn't handle the driving scene. Great content as always
That truck is awesome but the real star of the show is the builder! Cool dude. I'm on the east coast so I have a monster truck but if I was out west I would have a trophy truck. Amazing build!
Its not just a passion project for a client but the passion for the sport and how you make a product to punch above the rest and do just that. You can tell the infectious nature of passion and love of it from Rob's take alone.
You are super brave . No way I would ride with him along that ridge line. Lucky when he slid out it was where it was. Truck looks like it works awesome. They have really put some effort into these and have come along way from the spec trucks handling wise... Will be a big hit in the middle east. Cant see selling too many stateside..
I had a blast riding with Elliott. Not being an off road guy (that’s changing) it’s mind numbing to me how capable vehicles of this level are. Mind blown!
hah you looked terrified !! rad to see more offroad on your channel @@AutotopiaLA
@@trophyburro at times I was but mostly had a lot of fun! And gonna keep working in more off road for sure!!
That's a quality build and it just looks good, fun episode a little bit of butt pucker on some of those corners
Definitely had me on edge but mostly had a blast! They’re building top quality machines for sure
I'd have plenty of other places to put $750k than to dump it into that sh**box.
The look(s) on Shawn's face was priceless! You could see his mind dancing on the line of "Hol up now, wait a min, sumpins not right!".
I need that truck for these horrible roads in Detroit and for driving I 94! BA truck!
Same here in LA…we have the 4th worst roads in the country!!
Im amazed at what engineers are developing and manufacturing these days. Im MORE amazed that they're so busy cause people are actually buying them. These guys need to collaborate with others AND Autotopia to create something to promote people to get back into working with their hands. Such as Dave Rowe with Dirty Jobs. These videos are more than just the ridiculous rides. The passion and brother/sisterhood created may be disappearing with this LAZY youth growing up.
It's just another great video, guys!! Kudos...
I'm 38 but LAZY youth? Ok, hater 😂
Great comment and thankfully every shop we shoot at there’s always young guys and girls on staff
@@sepg5084 i still got you by a decade. Im lazy as well, when i choose to be! 🤣🤣
Wicked sick truck and a kick ass episode guys !! The camera work looks amazing 💯🔥
Thank you and definitely a top quality build and team at Armada
I agree,very good work👌🏾
The driver was so calm, never sweating once. That must be his test drive track. It was cool to watch him work. Oh, those welds are art and dressed to perfection!
It was his first time driving this trail. By our 2nd time through he was getting more comfortable which translates to faster! Fun time riding with Elliott
@@AutotopiaLA No kidding? He's a pro driver then? He handled the course and vehicle so easily I thought that's where he took potential customers to show of the truck.
I absolutely love companies who make over the top products like this. It's in America's DNA
Go big or go home 🇺🇸
The more comfortable Elliot got on the dirt road, the more you could see it in Shawn's face lol
Exactly! It was obvious he was getting more comfortable and I’m glad we didn’t go for a third lap through lol!
Priceless!
you guys are killin it, loving the new style/new production -great videos guys
Thank you! Loving the work my crew is putting in on the newer content!!!
I patrol the mountains of Otay and that would make my a$$ get tight!!!! Falling off a cliff is no joke!!! Cheers
He seemed pretty relaxed about it all so I just went for the ride and had a blast
Bajatopia LA
lol! Gonna keep working in some off roading to the channel cause it’s a blast!
The children's toy that becomes real. Excellent work, it's perfect!
Dear editor, I heard the points where you let both lavs play together. I'm sure you have a lot of work to do and most people wouldn't notice, but I always appreciate a extra time spent on muting the audio between dialogue to avoid the tin can sound when you have 2 lavs. Also noticed color shifts between cameras. Overall great job. I tend to notice more that most people.
Congrats on a half-mil subs! why this channel doesnt have 2.5 or 5.5 mil subs by now is one of life's mysteries.
I would love to see this truck with the new GM performance 632. 1000hp @ the flywheel on pump gas. So that's roughly 650-700 wheel. Shawn, you gotta check out Morgan Clarke. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
Wow bad ass love the esthetics and the engineering , Attention to detail phenomenal looking pre runner 😮❤👍👍🤙😎
Agreed all the way
When he said “4l60e” I almost lost my mind until I noticed the correction subtitles🤣
Welp, my answer has changed to the question: "What car would you buy if you won the lottery?" it would be this, wrapped in the old Toyota T-100 trd trophy truck skin.
Who knew that David Harbour built off road racing trucks?!
😂
lol!
He’s so hot
That's a crazy machine...
For sure
$750k for that? What an absolute rip off. I thought kibbetech was rip off. These guys bring a whole new meaning to the words rip off.
Sean, did you bring an extra pair of shorts???? Enjoy your work, keep it up.
I always do! I’m a pro at getting scared lol!!
Mega impressive intro guys...wow! Mad Respect.
What a freaking treat this one is...thanks for the awesome video AutotopiaLA.
Thank you and it was a treat for the whole team to shoot. Especially me and that insane ride along!
Why cant the big manufacturers make a truck that looks this good? They're all ugly as hell compared to the look of this. Chevy is the best looking but nothing like this
There is no room for error on that road
That’s for sure! He’s a pro thankfully
To Elliott,i hope your reading this mate, your man Rob is just an inspiration to up and coming builders ,hes the best ,i truly hope you know what a massive asset he is to your company and you look after him ,he is the spine off this company ,i hope you sell a tonne of these awesome weapons ,good luck in all you do Rob ,much respect from Australia
Thanks for the appreciation!
Hey man, been watching for some years now.
Have you gotten that thing on your neck checked out?
Don't think I remember seeing it on you before.
That is freaking Amazing I would love to hit the Backroads of Missouri with that Amazing work of Art 😮❤
Stellar build from Armada
So wish this was street legal in Australia
look nice in my stable with all my custom built LC8 rally bikes
Amazing engineering, and a great build. It's a beautiful, functional, show truck. That being said, I feel like the test of time and actually prerunning the truck would end up causing havoc on the interior. I'm not an expert by any means, but dirt and fine dust kill electronics quickly. I can understand the issue of it being a niche market for someone looking for a luxury prerunner.
The electronics will be fine. All the hardware is sealed and from looks of it its wired the same way. Motec screens use a super seal connector. You boot it then its going to be watertight. Im guessing it has ECUmaster pdms which are similar.
@trophyburro gave a great response here
Good thing all electronics in this truck are designed for marine environments, so they can withstand all moisture AND dirt/dust as well as any vibrations 🤘🏼
A truck like just just makes everything else lame.
Agreed 😍
Jesus😂 you almost took his heart ❤out 😂😂he looks scared 😂😂
I was a bit nervous but mostly had a blast!!
I know getting all this footage was probably difficult but I loved it. Good drone shots. Thanks for the video.
The team was definitely working hard but love how this video turned out! And I got an amazing ride along!!
Let alone these aluminum ac outlets....damn the details and craftsmanship are insane
750k !?? Lol 🤣🤣 FFS, the front shocks aren't even symmetrical.
Nice move with the steering ratio, that always bothers me with the BeamNG trophy truck :P
Another interesting episode with great intro. Those trucks are very wide and insane. I would like to drive it on desert. Greetings
Amazing how capable the build is and the driver. Such a fun day!
Wow what a ride. Shawn your face said it all. Lol. Looks like you had a great time. What a awesome build great job. Another great video guys.
Had a blast! Elliott and his team build fantastic vehicles and he’s a helluva driver!
I'm so scared to watch! Taking a vehicle that expensive over a road that sketchy, especially for the first time driving there!! It really shows how confident he is in that BEAST!!
He can drive ANYWHERE! Pure talent 🤌🏻
That truck is a bargain at 3/4 mill. You can easily spend that on a car that won't do 1/10 of what this can do or look as sexy. The attention to detail and how cohesive everything flows together, nothing overlooked , nothing you don't need approach. All the show cars/truck that can only drive on nice days on the perfect road are junk compared to this. I would drive over Lambos and laugh on my way to run over a Ferrie next.
glad you think so 😂
750k is crazy
And justified with the quality of work, parts, etc
That Mk6 GTI Tartan Paid interior is gangster AF.
"Thanks for doing that for us today, kindly drop me here"
lol! What a blast to get a ride with Elliott in this truck!!
That was freakin EPIC!! Looked like a freakin video game 🔥🔥🔥love all this new energy!! Super sick!
Damn Bro !! I Cant Believe you are rolling next to a drop off !! Thats Why you make the big $$
Now I just need the big $$ to come rolling in lol! Working on it
California! Sun! Go fast car……. Nice 👍🏻
Yes yes and hell YES!! What a blast shooting this!

Badass!! If I could afford I’d daily one of those trucks!!! Love pre runners!!!!!!!
Same for me! Especially on our horrible LA streets
Beautiful truck is amazing
F’n A man! such talent and badass’ness.
That’s the truth!
lol, i thought that headlights are from Land Rover Range Rover Voque or smth...🤔
I thought Land Rover too
I have to limit myself on how many autotopia videos I watch because I can only deal with so many bitchen’s and one video usually burns me out on them. Kinda like Kyle’s fake sounding laugh at 1320 ,but way more annoying.
It flys outta my mouth pretty easily lol!
@@AutotopiaLA one of those habits. Lol , but you do find some pretty good builds
That truck is so bad ass. What an awesome build
SUEDE OPS killed it!
Every time! Love our two teams working together
4WD dominates trophy truck wins and has for several years. I don't think think make sense for a prerunner, but it would be cool.
Ya there was some wild comments in this one. I guess put it down to them being little nervous on cam.
I'm loving the content, I just wanted to say Thankyou for recording/uploading your current videos in 4K resolution, I noticed a massive visual high quality upgrade over your older 1080p compressed videos when watching on my 4K monitor.
So when registering with the DMV is it considered a Ford or like you mentioned a special constructed street legal truck I’m kinda confused
Good question. Might want to call Armada to be clear on that one
@@AutotopiaLA ok
Is this head light from range rover.......... Wow luxurious cabin......... Top notch........ Greetings from india 🇮🇳🤠🤠🤩🤩🤘🏻🙌🏻
Sean about pooped his pants. That truck is insane
Go Elliot!!!! Proud of you dude!!
Thanks dude!
Cool guy. Great driver and has built a stellar company!
What's that squeak? That sht would drive me crazy
Those big Brembo brakes…I’ve never heard race brakes that don’t squeak
I feel like 750k is insane. I feel like you could ground up one just as sorted for 200k on the high end
200K could build a nice truck but not even close to this. The parts alone are over $200K on this
Good luck 👍🏼
Shawn at it again! 4x4, harness and headset means he’s going for a ride! 🤘🏻
Beautiful truck that is clearly capable, but it is not worth more than $350k
How did you come to that conclusion? Have you built one? How much did it cost to make yours?
@@CarlieCadrecha Not a pre-runner because mine is 4wd, the base ute or 'truck' is a 2014 land cruiser worth at least double if not triple a 2008 f150, supercharged ls3 which probably isn't as expensive as this big block, but has a full cage and similar rear suspension as this. All suspension components are top tier. My interior is a lot nicer than this and the entire build cost around $230,000 AUD, or $150,000 USD. So unless the body kit and engine are worth more than $200,000 USD on their own, then I stand by what I said - this is not worth more than $350,000.
21:00 WRONG!!! The only I don’t want on that truck is head lights.😂 Had a Dodge once…….once and it was a Journey. Worst and most unreliable POS I’ve owned or worked on.
lol! Those lights sure look good on here though
@@AutotopiaLA 💯 agree, but….😂
They look more like a Range Rover headlight than a Dodge. Look it up …
@@robertrusso877 The builder said they’re from a Journey. They’re obviously modified with the LED halo’s, but the housing is Dodge Journey.
Party time brother 💪🇱🇷😁
That’s right! 🤘
Very good channel
Thanks! I’ll be in your neighborhood tomorrow…Harley day with this weather!
31:27 Think the Golf got roosted?
Congrats on half a mil! :D
Hell, the cage work ALONE in this thing is six figures of engineering, design, materials, fab, and labor.
Thank you! The amount of work and quality of the work is top notch
750k😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
here's some iems to preserve your hearing and get the best quality sound for music too, in that domain theyr one and the same since spiky or treble-y sound signatures hurt and make deaf.. expertly picked anyway: ns audio ns3 (60$) shanling me-200 (160$) nxears sonata (200$) kinera norn (500$) the last two are not so safe but theyr crazy detailed and Musical still if ur gna (cause its an impressive thing). astrotec got a entry level dac and dap(like ipod) for 'em. let me know if you guys go for one of them 🙂 also it's a quality of life and health thing you could say so it's a wise choice. you couldn't go back to listening to any earphones/speakers after those... especially the first two, the subsequent is complimentary after you have the first type, then just thank me later 💯 🎶🎻World Class. the first ones are sweet/romantic and harmonious/cohesive.
Awesome truck. Great video quality as always
Thanks and definitely a top quality build and ride!
.... 750k... for that.. no thx mang.
I read all these comments and fully understand what everyone is saying...until you do fabrication and see the hours that go into this kinda thing is mind blowing...yes a hell of alot of money but man hours and elbow grease is not cheap noar is it easy...pluse the amount of electrical work and soarting out all the bugs...it all coast money and has to be added into the build cost its not free...this man runs a business and i hope he does for many moons to come...design ans build is never ever cheap
You’re one of the few that understand it. We try educating people but they always fight it which is comical to me especially when we show a build on this level
Besides Cab and all the glass, everything else is one off. Very few things we outsource for, interior, wiring, transmission, paint, advanced fiberglass builds the body...so you guys build the motor and frame and some of the suspension?
I'm sure you guys build much more of this truck...the interview just sounded funny concerning this...lol.
That thing is a beast.
Nail biter for sure! Especially if you were taking a ride on your little dual sport motorcycle and this came around the corner sideways with a couple wheels off the ground. Maybe the surviving family would be able to buy one.
It was private property and we had permission from the owner to shoot there. And still a nail biter ride!
Great truck great video thanks for sharing
Thank you and Elliott and his team sure can build a beast!
21:00 WRONG!!! The only I don’t want on that truck is head lights.😂 Had a Dodge once…….once and it was a Journey. Worst and most unreliable POS I’ve owned or worked on.
I would please it on 250k if most of the stuff is done in house it shouldn’t be so expensive to make, i have built engines before it’s expensive but if the engine is popular components get cheaper it’s probably one of the most expensive parts of the car and it ain’t that crazy, big companies some times invest Billions in the making of their cars and they compensate in the mass production, you guys are charging for the lack of mass producing the car and probably logistics, I would invest the profit money in a bigger more capable warehouse to mass produce.
Fuck me runnin, what a machine
😯 that's the most beautiful truck I've ever seen
I can make something just as fun, thats FASTER, for 100k, and thats like 2x what i really need. Sry not sry.
