This sure is a catchy one. Can't beat how reliable these ol boys are when it comes to good ol fashioned red dirt country. Words can't describe how happy I am to have them back!
Thanks guys for coming back! You are loved!
The really neat thing about Turnpike is that their songs aren't mundane like other artists', and the slower melody doesn't drag on. Love it!
The songwriting is always on point
Best songwriting out there!!!
Poetry!
Three bangers so far, can't wait to hear the whole album!
Mine and vinyl are coming friday
"At an Old Ballroom in Tulsa, I looked up and you were there" referencing Evan seeing the crowd at their first show back in Cains after the hiatus made me tear up a bit
Me too. Those videos that came out from their first song back were crazy, and he wrote a song about it. Man, they’re so good.
Always a fan. Have seen them 4 times. Unlike a lot of artists, these guys can pull it off live. Backing vocals, full of sound. Never disappoint.
I've seen them numerous times. Mostly at Phil's big rock saloon in Idabel oklahoma. I've been a fan for almost 20 years now.
I just saw them and it was awesome!
Solid gold from the troubadours again
You know a country band is good when they can make you cry with a joyous song.
"At an old barroom in Tulsa, I looked up and you were there" 💥❤
When I heard the lyrics stop and saw over a minute left in the song - I was like "Oh, there's gonna be some guitarin' and fiddlin' coming" and sure enough - they take you for a ride
That steel guitar… sheesh it’s so nice. Hank didn’t let us down.
This song is solid Evan Felker poetry. Masterfully done and worth the wait.
Good lord lori their at it again
Love this song. Sounds like Turnpike and it don’t get any better than that!
I certainly appreciate all the joy you guys "brought me" to long drives and hard days working with your amazing music! You guys are back and I'm so in love all over again!
“This heart I’ve handed you for free….” MAN Felker is different so glad I get a new album. Ur 6 years late. I know u got an album on deck. I’m one of these fans. I only want more of your genius I also am searching for the next Lori song
I’m
These guys never fail to reassure that there is still good music being made in 2023!
cant wait to see yall in concert!
Turnpike getting back together was the good news we needed 🔥🤙🏼
Amen!😅
God Bless these Oklahoma Boys!!
They are OK!
favourite new tune so far.... classic Turnpike sound!!!
Listened to the whole album and in my opinion this is the best track. So good to have you guys back!! See you in November for the Orlando show!!
Another instant classic!
Finally listened to their music after hearing about them all summer and feel like I’ve missed out. This is already one of my favorite country songs ever and on repeat. Can’t wait for the new album! 🔥
Welcome!
Well I’ve pretty much played this song out already 😂😂😂. I am so glad they’re back. Makes me extremely happy!!!
I think Evan is a much deeper thinker than most people realize. Great song love the whole album. I have all of their work.
Anybody who has been a fan a while knows exactly how deep Evan Felker is. That's what draws so many people to them
You can't help but love how these first 3 releases are lyrics written when him and his wife were on the fringe and trying to make things work and profess his love.
I would have loved to see my grandparents dance to this one.
100%❤❤❤❤
Each song y'all have released this year is better than the last. I've been playing this song nonstop for the past couple days. Can't wait to swing dance to it.
My gosh. Another stunner. Such a great sound mix too. Just greatness.
Great job boys! Hell of a tune! Keep em comin!!!
Love all the new songs coming out!! Best live show I ever seen GA theater in Athens GA 5 years ago. Blew the roof off.
Was there!
I am obsessed with this song!
Hella YEAH! The Turnpike Troubadours are back, baby!

@rissb9865 we were contemplating Philly as well. Honestly New York didn't sound too bad. Looked like a hell of a time honestly but York was a blast
Welcome back boys! My two daughters (10 and 7) love Turnpike and the three of us can't wait for the new album to drop.

Thank you guys for all that you do, I am proud to be first comment, and I am looking for ward to seeing you at Billy Bobs!
Took a few times for this song to hit me, but it's absolutely amazing. I can't stop listening now. Just heard them live and this song sounded great....actually all of them did. If you get the chance to go see em, do it!
Yoooo I just started to listen to you and you already published a new song, lucky me.
I like "mean old sun" and "pipe bomb dream".

Just saw them last Thursday in York PA and it was an awesome show. Really like this song. Can’t wait to see them again.

These guys are making America great again!
Saw them open for the Dropkick Murphys last St. Pats weekend and have been a HUGE fan since!
Saw them last week in Lubbock...as someone who was on a similar path as Evan, it made me almost tear up to see him truly ENJOYING his gift and new life. Gives me hope.
Using this as our first dance song at our wedding! 🖤
My daughter's 5 months old and when I get out of work I pick her up put on a song and dance and this is our new favorite beautiful song thanks guys!
Evan, you simply killed it on this one. Absolute songwriting perfection❤❤❤

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Got tix to see you in Nashville in a couple weeks! Can’t wait!
Send it
Your new album comes out on my birthday
Seeing you open for Luke combs in philly was amazing but made me sad that a band as talented as you guys needs to open instead of sell out arenas on your own!!
They can and do in certain markets, like Tulsa, OKC, and Dallas. Honestly, they’re so much better to see them in a midsized venue, so I’m kinda jealous of people living in places that haven’t fully discovered them yet because y’all are getting an experience they’ve grown out of down here.
@@aaronfaurschou9972I saw them at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville last July and it was a religious experience
@@aaronfaurschou9972 i found out about them right after A Long Way From Your Heart, and remember it like it was yesterday. Was on a road trip with my buddy outside San Antonio and heard The Hard Way, and was hooked immediately. But with the Hiatus and the pandemic, this was the first time I got to see them live up by me. It was amazing.
Definitely wanna get down to Tulsa and see em though
@@loganfisher3431 Driving down from Michigan to see them at the Ryman on 8/12. Beyond excited.
Saw you guys in 17 open for Miranda in Tampa. Drive to Atlanta last year and I’ll see y’all again 11/4 in Orlando. Been my favorite band since I found y’all about 10 yrs ago. I’m digging the new stuff and there isn’t a single song I don’t like and I’ve heard them all. Can’t wait till Nov 4th. Jason Borland and Blackberry Smoke. Doesn’t get much better than that, well Corb Lund was amazing in Atlanta last year, but I know it’s gonna be a great show. Gordo
😊
Troudabours are the best. Period.
🤟🇺🇲
“I hear you have a world away and know for whom you’re calling”
Im a huge felker fan and love lyrics but wtf does this even mean. Somebody clarify it.
Is it supposed to be "half" a world away?
@@charlotteconley2602 damn that may be true! Good catch.
@@charlotteconley2602 but still yet what’s he saying? And follows it up with is have said this years ago if I’d known where to start? I just don’t get the big picture of some of these lyrics although I love TT and this song.
Know for whom you’re calling is just real old country speak for “you’re spoken for/ married now,” I THINK.
@@shiftysmgi5333 that’s revelational lol. now that makes sense. Felker has a knack for using old Oklahoma slang/phrases that aren’t frequently used anymore and I love it.
Brought Me huh
